Living with Bi-Polar syndrome...

First of all, don't put too much weight into a diagnosis. These days, it's not uncommon for a doctor to jump to a conclusion that includes a diagnosis and a bunch of medication. I've been there. I was personally prescribed Paxil at about 14 years old. I suffered with extreme panic attacks...until I escaped my tumoltuous environment. You see, it wasn't' because of some imbalance in my brain, which may or may not be there; it was because I was living in an awful environment, with awful people who were in control of me and every facet of my life. I left that house, and quit my medication. That was more than 12 years ago, and I have never looked back. Take responsibility for your life, your actions, and your environment. Only then can you live a happy life, free of drugs and the weight of a diagnosis like this. It's absurd to throw away an entire emotion, such as sadness. If you are unhappy, you are better off facing your issues than looking for happiness in a prescription. Just LIVE.

There is far more to bipolar than what you described. Check out my hub on bipolar and I'm planning on adding to it this weekend... If bipolar IS the diagnosis... then there are ways to live with it. Honest. And I promise you, that once you learn to live with the roller coaster... you can achieve what ever you want.
