Living Life...Boomer Style
62A magazine of and for Vibrant People
Living Life...Boomer Style is a unique magazine. It is written about the Boomer Lifestyle, yet, 20 somethings and 30 somethings enjoy the magazine as much as the Baby Boomer's do.
Boomer Style uses humor as much as possible, which is one of the reasons so many enjoy it. Living Life...Boomer Style magazine celebrates each month for all of the nuances it brings. Living Life...talks about Music, Books, Fashion, Health, Tech, Inspire, Spiritual, Metaphysical, Travel, Charity, Artists, Photographers, Editorials, Memory Lane, Money and Boomer Hot, to name several of the departments, though not all. They coined the term 'Boomer Hot.'
Boomer Hot
The magazine has an annual Boomer Hot list that runs during the month of August in celebration of those Hot August Nights. The list portrays 100 Boomer Hot Women and 100 Boomer Hot Men. This edition sizzles...
While looking great is a prerequisite, it is not the only pre-requisite.
What is Boomer Hot? Glad you asked.
Boomer Hot Defined
Boomer Hot is earned by growing into life full throttle. When life gets messy—if you’re Boomer Hot, life does get messy once in awhile (it’s part of what makes you interesting), you handle it with grace and honesty—or discretion. And then, there’s that sex appeal…the charisma. It's in the eyes...in the demeanor. The intensity is right there. You see it. You feel it.
Also, Boomer Hot is taking care of addictions—not letting them run you at this age in the game.
Most of the Boomer Hot’s don’t take themselves too seriously and most have a wonderful sense of humor.
Plus, Boomer Hot is about doing something bigger than themselves. Creating…
Boomer Hot is the whole package.
I am curious to see who your Boomer Hot’s are. Please leave your answer in the comments section. Thank you.
The Music
Living Life...Boomer Style has an extensive music department with reviews, profiles, interviews, concert tour schedules, AND for the readers some very convenient services all in one place. You can read about your favorite musicians, look over their complete discography or vinyl releases, purchase them right there through Amazon if you choose, see who is on tour, and even get your concert tickets in the same spot. Plus, Boomer Style offers two different ticket venues, so if one is sold out--you can use the other one. The second choice offers premium seating for those impossible to get tickets. You know, the ones dreams are made of--where you are treated as the VIP you truly are.
What Kind of Music?
You may be wondering what kind of music do we write about. Well, most of the classics came from the Boomer era. The great rock n roll--much of which is still being played today.
We cover rock, country, jazz, pop, girlbands, boybands, bands that may be not well known, yet are Boomer Worthy of attention.
Most of the reviews have slide shows of the musicians, most profiles have music players, so not only do you get to look at great photography, read great stories of the musicians and their 'stories' or fabulous quotes, you get to hear their classics. It is a joy to behold.
We have been told our music profiles are some of the best. One of the funniest ones I have read is the profile on Bette Midler. Omgosh, you will belly laugh. Jeff Beck tells a few good stories, himself.
Travel
This wouldn't be a very comprehensive magazine if it didn't cover travel. After all, Boomers reinvented travel--from Glamping to the ultimate in luxury hotels--Baby Boomers have traveled the globe.
Living Life...Boomer Style does hotel reviews, daycations, and coined the Top 20 Short List of things to do in specific areas. There is a wonderful package on Las Vegas, New York City and Osakis, Minn. They are fun lists and cover all the important things to do--where to sleep, eat, play, shop, and relax.

Ed is a sexy guy and he sounds like an interesting man. Will your magazine be doing an interview with him? It would be a good story and the slide show is so random, it's great. Can see why they are some of the favorites. Nice article about an intriguing magazine. How often will you be posting?
Jenny
The photography and graphics in the magazine are outstanding.
Love this article about the magazine. Glad I found it, checked it out--there are some funny columns in here--and I like the Spiritual section, too. Oh, Memory Lane is outstanding. What a beautiful way to remember those we love who have passed before us. I have never seen homage like that. Very clever and thoughtful. Left with a good laugh, gratitude, and tears in my eyes. Thank you.
Sandy, Detroit, Michigan
Well you know I have a special place in my heart for this magazine! I need to get up and pass this on to more of my friends. The photographs are awsome and just the updates you have on the various artists are appreciated. Of course I have a hard time seeing myself as a boomer!
Interesting article. Love the Boomer Hot definition and looking forward to who your boomer hot list will be this year. So nice to see you choose people who are worthy of this honor and not some boneheaded hollywood ideals.
Didn't know who Ed Evangelista was until reading this article. Googled him and find him fascinating. Will he be in this years boomer hot list? Hope so, he is worthy of the list it seems.
Enjoyed this very much.
Sasha, San Francisco, CA
Ejoyed finding out about this magazine. The artist, Jaeda Dewalt, has an astounding image in the slide show. Where can I find more on her?
Thanks, Glenn

Hi Jenny, Thanks for asking--I did an interview with Ed a few years ago. Ed and I said we would get together and update it for the magazine. I will inquire with him if he is ready to do so now. Glad you enjoyed reading about him.
Ernie, thank you. Many of us at the magazine are photographers and really get into the visual. We get alot of comments about our vibrant images.
Sandy, Memory Lane is one of my favorites, too. My assistant editor and I put them together. Many days we both end up with tears in our eyes, too. We, at first, thought about writing a story on them in their memory and after looking at the information out there about the person who has just died, we found they were all pretty much the same information talking about the same things.
I love quotes, am a quote junky, and thought what better way to remember them, than through their own words. Glad you enjoyed it.
Ange, You are special to the magazine, too. Thank you for your support. And, you are a beautiful boomer, boomers are hot, hasn't anyone told you?!
Sasha, Ed is a fabulous Boomer Hot and we didn't feel our 2009 Boomer Hot list would be complete without Evangelista--so, yes, he is back on it. I will be posting an interview I did with him soon. Have been getting a lot of feedback on him since this article. Thanks for taking the time to leave your comment.
Glenn, J A E D A De Walt is one of my favorite artists. I started following her about three years ago and have never tired of her work, it is exquisite, mesmerizing and interesting. Good news, we have a lot of information on J A E D A at the main section of Living Life...Boomer Style. We have two articles and images on her photography and an article on the book she wrote and illustrated. I will post the link to one of the articles here, plus you can follow the other links from inside the story. Thanks for leaving your question.
