Trust Lojack, Retrieve your stolen Vehicle!

LoJack Corporation (LoJack) is an international provider of products and services which helps in tracking and recovery of precious mobile assets. LoJack has closely collaborated with law enforcement agencies and its technology and wireless network to provide sources for the tracking and recovery of stolen vehicles, motorcycles and construction equipment. LoJack products are presently sold in 26 states and the District of Columbia in the United States, and in 28 countries globally. The Company's cutting-edge technology has resulted in the recovery of more than 200,000 vehicles globally.

The LoJack Stolen Vehicle Recovery System is an aftermarket vehicle tracking system which enables stolen vehicles to be tracked by the police. LoJack units could be installed in different kinds of vehicles such as cars, commercial trucks, construction vehicles, and motorcycles and even in laptops. The LoJack Stolen Vehicle Recovery System is essentially a silent tracking device which is kept hidden in a protected vehicle and gets automatically activated when the owner reports to the police about his/her stolen vehicle. This helps the police to track and recover the stolen vehicle. If a LoJack unit gets activated, every police car facilitated with a tracking unit will also be automatically alerted, indicating that the vehicle is within a 2-3 mile radius. Most of the international police forces are equipped with these tracking units. This highly innovative technology employs radio frequency (RF) as against GPS, enabling police to recover vehicles which are hidden in garages and other remotely dense areas.

LoJack also installs unique police tracking computers in law enforcement vehicles, helicopters and even fixed-wing aircraft. The company's software as well as its numerous databases is directly incorporated into every state's crime computers. LoJack also makes available a video which gives the police officer a clear-cut idea of how the entire tracking system is designed and how it operates. However, LoJack is not available from a retail store. The tracking system should be purchased either through a car dealer or directly from the manufacturer. The whole tracking system has been designed with a view to discreetly notify the police and as a result, there are no add-on features which enable the owner to track the vehicle themselves. The Early Warning option in the stolen vehicle tracking system helps to notify the owner if the vehicle is moved. It alerts the owner of the vehicle by phone, e-mail or alpha pager if the protected vehicle is moved without authorization. A personal key fob in this device transmits a signal to the tracking system by which the warning is disabled as long as the owner carries it.
