Look at the Ads on this Page

While doing research on the new advertising company LocalAdLink, I started to notice the pay-per-click ads that were starting to come up along the right side of my google searches. If you are not familiar with this kind of advertising, I will provide you with a brief overview. I have limited the amount of times that I refer to the actual wording of the term so that the ads within this hub would come up in a variety of ways. I will refer to it as online advertising.

What is Online Advertising?

G.oogle,Live, AOL and all the other search engine out there provide a way for businesses to get online immediately while not having to work on SEO placement. SEO is short for search engine optimization. SEO is an activity that takes daily work for any webmaster to get their website ranking high in the search engines. This kind of marketing has eliminated that problem and formed a way for businesses to pay to have their short ads come up within websites and search engines that consumers are using. Here is an example of what these ads look like:

(The bullets are not meant to be there but the format would not allow me to post an example of a pay per click ad.)

In a true online side ad, the bottom hyperlink is green just like the others that are displayed on this page. The links that you see throughout this article are actual pay-per-click ads by g.oogle. Each person that advertise with g.oogle is paying a certain amount of money each time the ad is clicked. My experience with these kinds of ads started off as an inexpensive way to get my web pages in front of people but the more popular United First Financial became, the more expensive my ad got. I was spending $400 a month before I decided that it was not benefiting me enough to continue the ad.

If you look a little closer, you will start to see ads that look like click ads but are really localadlink ads. You can see that by looking at the bottom of the ad, the hyperlink will be to localadlink's main hub where the cunsumers ad is located. If they ads are not showing yet, check back after a few weeks of this hub being published. Each time this ad is click, it does NOT charge the businesses.

How Is LocalAdLink Different?

LocalAdLink is a large website that is allowing others to advertise on it while also teaming up with other popular website so that the ads can be placed on their partners sites. Their partners are companies like g.oogle, facebook, boomj, msn, yahoo,AOL and many others. When I first came across LocalAdLink, I disregarded it because I thought there was no way that a person could get cheaper clicks since g.oogle controls so much of the Internet. I was wrong!

It is all about page ranking and the strength of the website. LocalAdLinks main hub is located at localadlink.com and is building strength everyday. This is where advertisers first list their ads. This can be accomplished with a free ad or one that a person pays for. Of course, the ones that are paid for get featured placement. Not only does your own website get linked to a high ranking page but Localadlink's hub pushes the ads out to its partners. The ads then start showing up where the perclick ads do. If this hub was written correctly, you should see per-click ads that are covering this page in varies places that refer to localadlink. If not, then other keywords were used too often.

What is the Advantage of using Local Ad Link?

There are several. I mentioned a couple already but here is a list:

  • The Geo-tracking ability of LocalAdLink that allows a company to advertise in specific zip codes in their local area.
  • The ability to advertise coupons on LocalAdLink that can be printed off and brought in by the customer
  • A back-link from a high ranking website that helps the standing of your current website
  • Additional Traffic to your website
  • Unlimited Clicks: Your ad will show up in all zip codes of your choice when the consumer is referring to what your keywords are.
  • Packages that cost as little as $50 not $1 per click like I was paying with google payperclick.

I hope to run an example soon with United First Financial's ad on localadlink. Check back often.
