These photos were taken by me on May 16-18 at Anime Central 2008 in the Hyatt Regency O'Hare and Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL near Chicago.

Anime central is a place were people come together that like the Japanese creation of Anime; their version of an adult cartoon you can say. People come to buy Anime related merchandise, cosplay, go to discussion panels, talk to people, speed date, enter video game tournaments, play Trading Card Games games, just plain hang out, and way more than i can list!

Coplaying, for people that dont know, is when people dress up as anime characters, video game characters, Comic Book characters, Anything Japanese related, Etc.

Lolita fashion is a subculture in Japan. They are influenced by Victorian children clothing. Meaning they are wearing stuff from the old English days. The most distinct thing about them is their dresses and fabric. They usually have on them gloves and umbrella but it varies alot. There are many styles of lolita it seem. There are punk lolitas, classic lolitas, sweet lolitas, gothic lolita, and so on. I dont know much on the subject but i was taken back by how they looked.
