Lonely at Christmas

Christmas is a special time of year. We are all busy rushing around to get things done. Some of us are not as fortunate as others around the holidays, because our family is far away or we are without family. Keep in mind your not alone. For years our family has had people over that have no-one or nowhere to go. We do this because its a special time of year to celebrate giving. And the best part is the company and memories. This is what we bring with us as we grow old. Think about close friends, and invite them over for dessert that day. Or if your into volunteering, remember the people in the nursing homes, or sick people that are in the hospital. Sometimes, just a smile and a few friendly words will make their day. Take a walk, treat yourself to something you wouldnt normally do, like a nice dinner or a movie or even go for a long drive just to clear your head. Lonely isnt always bad, believe it or not sometimes its the best peace and quiet we ever get to ourselves. Christmas shouldnt be lonely it should be a time to celebrate love, loss, and life. We move on from loss and learn which gives us strenght. We love because its human nature to do so. And most important we are given life, so cherish, grow and learn from it.
