High energy yes but a loving and fun breed

Jack Russell Terriers make wonderful pets even though they have a reputation for being high strung. They are very curious and enjoy exploring everything. While Brandy was just a puppy she jumped into the refrigerator -- I shut the door. Later I heard her crying and could not find her, finally I looked in the refrigerator and there she was sitting on the bottom shelf next to the orange juice and milk. When she jumped into the dishwasher I saw her tail just before I shut the door after that I was more careful -- always checking to make sure she was not in harms way.

Although Jack Russells are hyper they are not like other dogs. They don't yap all the time, it is more like they are high energy. Always wanting to play and investigate. To me they seem more like cats, they are stubborn and do things on their own terms.

One night Brandy was on the bed when she suddenly started to run around in a circle with her nose turned down on the sheet. She ran so fast she was like a little white blur, we didn't know what to do --then all of the sudden she stopped. We thought something was terribly wrong with her. We asked the Vet about it and he said she was just being a Jack Russell.

Jack Russells are never boring but they do need a lot of attention. They were bred to do a job so they like to be busy.

Jack Russell Terriers are very curious

After a great time exploring grass, leaves, twigs and bugs it is time for a rest.
