Longines HydroConquest is a collection of men's diving watches outfitted with a set of specialized security utilities. The most prominent features of the HydroConquest include water resistance up to 300 meters, a unirotational bezel, and a screw-in crown with a lateral protection. The hands, the indices and the oversized numerals are coated with a luminescent material, to improve legibility in dark underwater conditions.

In terms of appearance, Longines HydroConquest watches resemble somewhat the basic Rolex design, but are more visually elaborate: the dots and the indexes combined create a mesmerizing pattern of movement, resembling underwater footage of a teeming with marine life reef. As always, Longines insist on presenting a sociable and affable picture.

Longines HydroConquest joins Conquest, GrandeVitesse, Longines Admiral, and Sports Legends to form the brand's sports watches department. Each line was designed for a separate purpose; HydroConquest, as the name implies, was created to conquer the aquatic depths, and is a collection of diving watches.

Specifications comprise the mentioned water resistance, the single directional bezel (to prevent it from going back and confusing the diver as to the remaining submergence time), secure bracelet (folding clasp), and water tight crown and case-back. An additional safety feature includes lateral protection of the crown with two lugs.

HydroConquest watches demonstrate a typical diving watch aesthetic: deep black or blue dials, with large oversized white markers scattered all over the face and the bezel. This color scheme creates a powerful visual contrast that is imperatively important in dark conditions. The white dial versions, therefore, are the dressy models in this collection, and are more fashion than utility oriented.

Additional designs include a two-tone variation, and a rare ladies model with mother-of-pearl dial and diamond encrusted bezel. Except a few models (currently in production) equipped with a rubber strap, the majority of HydroConquest watches come in solid stainless steel.

Movement

Longines HydroConquest is a mechanically versatile line of watches, incorporating both quartz and mechanical calibers. Complications include date and chronograph – saying that days of diving will often seem like seconds.
