Why pay thousands of dollars for designer clothing, when you can get the same look for less than $100?

I've been obsessed with the fashion industry as long as I can remember, and had a Vogue subscription since the age of 12.  I don't know that I understood the articles or what the art directors were trying to convey through the ultra artistic photo spreads of models in designer gowns and the latest apparel, but I absorbed it all with much vigor and awe.  Something I noticed around the age of 19 (the year was 2003) was that luxury items such as designer handbags and designer denim were suddenly "must haves" if you were a trendy female.  I've been doing the look for less with handbags, jewelry, shoes and apparel with my friends and co-workers for about 3 years and I feel it's my duty to share my secrets with women everywhere who want in on my searches.  I look high and low for the best finds and highest quality designer look-a-likes so you can look amazing without breaking your budget.  It's important for those of us who still like to follow trends, but also are having a difficult time managing our money with the state of the economy right now.  Please enjoy my hub and leave any comments or suggestions!
