Lose Weight, Gain Muscle: Towards a Toned and Fabulous You

Whether you like it or not, the size and shape of your body is a major indicant of your sexiness. Blame it on the magazines that feature slender women! Yes, the world seems unfair especially when there are just some women who, no matter how hard they eat, never really grow fat. It’s as if they are wired to be slim!

But losing weight is simply not the direct answer to getting sexy. This is true particularly when you have curves all over your body – sometimes in places that are not supposed to have curves – and you are aiming to have a 24-inch waistline.

To really have a great body, you must tone your muscles. Simply skinny is not that sexy. Therefore, your goal must be to lose weight, gain muscle (or muscles), and have a toned body. How do you do this? Here are a couple of questions that you need answers to.

Budget?

Before you try any weight loss regimen, you must ask yourself first: do I have a budget for this? And this is true not only in terms of money, but in terms of time as well. Can you afford to spend some time in the gym? Do you have extra money to buy food supplements?

Of course, being rich is not a requirement for anyone who wants to lose weight. It simply means that you set your priorities and put this endeavor near the top – if not on top – of that list.

To lose weight, gain muscle and have a fabulous body, you need more than just a certain type of diet. You need to do some exercises as well. Simply shedding off fats would not make your body any more beautiful than its previous state. For starters, you may want to do some abdominals. This targets your tummy, the emphasis of any lose-weight-gain-muscle program.

Discipline?

If you decide to enroll in a fitness gym, for instance, you should have the discipline to stick to your program. Before that, you must have the discipline to wake up early (or free out your night schedule in case you want to exercise at night) and drive to the gym. If you develop this habit, you will surely be able to lose weight, gain muscle and be on your way towards having a fabulous and toned body.

Discipline also applies to your diet. Of course, you need to cut down on those fatty, junk and carbo-loaded favorites of yours. If you can control yourself to take in only the required daily allowance, then you are surely getting into your target: that is, to lose weight, gain muscle and have a fabulous body!

Be careful not to starve yourself, though. Starving to death simply is not the answer in order for you to lose weight, gain muscle and have a toned body. In fact, fats are an emergency “nutrient” of your body. Therefore, if you don’t eat, your body would preserve your fats and burn your muscles instead. Now that’s not what you want, or is it? 

Beauty (and sexiness) is in the eye of the beholder, so they say. But it wouldn’t hurt if you want to keep your body fabulous. After all, it is not only appealing; a toned and slim body is healthy too!
