Lose-Weight-Gain-Muscle
49Weight Loss
"The American public has been dieting for 25 years-and has gained five pounds." Covert Bailey-"Fit or Fat".
About 95% of people who lose weight through some form of dieting gain that same weight fairly quickly after they end their diet. And many gain more than they lost. Now what does that tell us about modern dieting methods.!
And as a "minor" side issue, look at the increase in type 2 diabetes now days due to lack of exercise. Type 2 diabetes is a lifestyle disease...
So what is happening here.!
The whole debate about weight loss/muscle gain centres around three prime areas which have to be utilised together. These arfeas are 1/Weight training 2/Nutrition3/Aerobics.I was looking at a synopsis of a "popular"ebook on weight loss, and, bizarrely, the author was actually claiming that you could forget about what you eat and exercise, weight loss could occur if you could control...the "bad" stomach bugs you must have inside you.
Are you KIDDING ME.
How could anyone write such unmitigated rubbish and and not blush.! Lets stick to science and what the scientists have to say.!!"A complex high carbohydrate, high fibre diet is a great diet. You can eat all you want, and still maintain an excfellent percent body fat if you have the proper exercise program."Dr A . Jensen
Raw,unprocessed foods are the way to go.And dont starve yourself. Many people dont realise that a 400 calorie diet brings about no more weight loss than a 800 calorie a day diet because the body just slows down its metabolism to adjust. But why does eating fat make people fat.?A gram of fat contains 9 calories whilst a gram of protein or carbohydrate contains 4 calories. This leads us to believe that eating a near vegetarian diet appears to be be healthier since eating meat, dairy products and eggs means you are increasing your digestion of fat and not getting any fibre. The trick is to eat a balanced diet of course. We have met anemic looking vegetarians...and unfit meat eaters...But a new trend is to try body weight exercises and not weight lifitng per se.
Aerobic Exercise
Exercise with oxygen, is called aerobic and without oxygen, anaerobic.Long distance running is a form of aerobic training and the 100 metre sprint or weight lifting are forms of anaerobic exercise. Aerobic exercise burns up fat, and another added bonus...extra calories continue to burn even whenyou have stopped exercising. The fact is , unfit people burn mostly stored carbohydrate and glucose, whilst fit people have more fat burning enzmes ans are subsequently burning off stored fat.
But..what is very interesting is the muscle gains that can be made using maximum weight for about 10 to 12 repetitions causing muscular exhaustion.
