64If you want to lose weight quick, you can. But be sure that you're not going to go overboard with cutting the calories and time spent in the gym.
Nobody ever got anywhere by starving themselves and exhausting themselves in the gym day in and day out.
You
can lose weight fast, as long as you use your common sense. Don't ever
try to go on some self invented crash diet. They hardly ever work. And
if they do, it's usually only for the short term.
There is no need to experiment with diets yourself. Thousands of people have gone before you in the past few decades. We already know what works and what doesn't.
Oh sure, every once in a while a new scientific publication comes out and it sheds some new light on how we look at weight loss. But these research papers only slightly modify the well known fat burning strategies that successful people already know about.
They never 'change everything completely'.
Lose Weight Quick
You can lose weight quickly, but not too quickly! The maximum amount of safe weight loss is around 1 pound per week.
If you go beyond that, odds are that a large part of your weight loss doesn't come from fat. It might come from your muscle or your fluid levels.
Losing weight too quickly is going to cause you serious damage to your health. Don't ever give in to the temptation of losing 20 pounds in 2 weeks. It's not going to give you long term results anyway!
It takes a lot for a weight loss attempt to end successfully. There are so many factors included and you can do so many things wrong.
You must inform yourself about weight loss diets and weight loss exercise program. Then you must get the motivation to actually take action.
The biggest challenge of all is making as little mistakes as possible. Losing weight is quite literally a loser's game. By this I mean that this game is won by the person who makes the least mistakes.
Fast Weight Loss Tips
I have a number of tips for you. You can use these to achieve relatively fast weight loss. There's a total of 6 of them.
1. Eat Fibre
Fibre comes from plants and our bodies cannot digest them. Don't make the mistake of thinking this makes them useless!
Fibres stick to the proteins and fats of the food we eat, and therefore these proteins and fats cannot be absorbed by the body anymore. This reduces the number of calories that ultimately end up in your system.
Like water, fibre bulks you up and makes you feel full. This is exactly what you need to prevent yourself from overeating.
You can find fibre in foods such as apples, chickpeas, potatoes, apples, strawberries, beans, nuts, bran, broccoli and brown rice.
2. Eat More Good Fats
The good fats are also called essential fats. These are fats that your body cannot produce on its own. They must come from your diet.
Good fats such as linoleic and linolenic acids aid your body in its normal, every day functioning. They have the power to regulate your blood pressure downwards, thereby lowering your risk of heart disease.
Oily fish is a great source of the right fatty acids. Eat 3 portions of oily fish such as mackerel, herrings, salmon or sardines. You will receive enormous health benefits from this.
3. Drink Water
Water is all by itself the most important means of transportation of nutrients and waste products. It can also act as a supressant of your appetite because it fills your stomach. It does this with 0 calories, ofcourse.
Dehydration can sometimes make you feel hungry. These feelings of hunger are false. What you actually need when dehydrated... is water!
When there is plenty of water around, the kidneys use it to flush out the waste products. If there is not enough water, the liver helps the kidneys out. This makes the liver less efficient at metabolizing fat. This doesn't really help your weight loss attempts.
Some people suggest drinking water ice cold because your body has to use calories to heat it up to body temperature. But it only uses very little calories. I personally do not feel it is worth the effort.
4. Eat Plenty Proteins
Proteins are necessary for you to hang on to your muscle. You need those muscles to burn fat, those so don't even think about skipping on the proteins!
Proteins also make you feel full for really long periods. They also help your body process carbohydrates more effectively, because they prevent insulin spikes.
You can get protein from a lot of different foods. Examples of good protein food are cottage cheese, yoghurt, egg whites, skimmed milk, shrimps and fish.
5. Eat Regularly
When you eat on a regular basis, you keep your metabolism going. Try to eat 5 times per day. You could do it 6 times, but I personally find this kind of a hassle.
Breakfast really is the most important meal of the day. It sets your body in motion right at the start of the day. This can help your weight loss a great deal.
When fueling your body right at the start of the day, you prevent getting cravings later on.
By spreading your calorie intake evenly across the day, you will minimize your feelings of hunger. Even when you're on a diet that creates a calorie shortage for you.
6. Carbohydrates Are Your Friend
Carbohydrates give you energy. Too much energy will be stored as body fat reserves.
Don't let this scare you. Proteins and fats can also make you fat, as long as you overeat on them.
Carbohydrates can actually help you lose weight. The good carbohydrates come from wholegrains, beans, fruits and vegetables. They give you a steady amount of energy throughout the day.
Refined carbohydrates come from candy bars and chocolate chip cookies. These give you way too much energy all at once. Your body can't deal with this energy overload and stores it as body fat.
No better way to sabotage your own weight loss than to eat cookies and candy.
Effective Weight Loss
If you keep the above tips in mind when you are losing weight, you are sure to be successful eventually.
Don't feel all down when things aren't going as well as you had hoped. Simply mix up your diet and exercise plan.
