Why are they called love handles?

They are called love handles but no one really loves them. Who would like to have dropping flesh of skin in their belly anyway? Love handles are stubborn fats that prove to be stubbornly difficult to get rid of.

Not only are they unpleasing to the eyes, they can also pose danger to one’s health. Aside from that, it can be difficult for one to have a good social life when having an ever-growing belly that can bulge over pants. It is definitely a must to lose them, and lose them quick.


Losing Love Handles Through Exercise

This tip might require a little hard work from your part and a bit of patience as well. Sadly to say, there is no such thing as a magic potion or an overnight solution for love handles. You have to sweat and spend a whole lot of time working out to get rid of them.

There are a number of exercises that can help you reach your goal:

The hula hoop may seem like a child’s toy but it can actually help keep your midsection in perfect shape. All you need is a big hula hoop and you are set to go. Running is one of the simplest forms of exercise and all you need is a good pair of trainers and water to help you hydrate. Run for at least 30 minutes daily and you would see that you are not only shrinking your love handles, you are getting rid of fats everywhere in your body too.



Eating Your Way Out of Fat

You must have heard it a hundred times; stop eating and you would lose weight. However, the body still needs all the nutrients it can get from food so starving yourself is not really a good idea if you want to lose your love handles.Some good tips to follow are:

  • Portion control: Portion control can be helpful. Instead of eating three big meals a day, go for six small meals instead.
  • Take charge of the food you eat. Eating foods rich in fiber will help eliminate the fats accumulated in your mid section. Fiber in fruits and vegetables act as a broom sweeping out waste deposits and unwanted fats from your body.
  • Forget junk foods and snack on nuts and fruits instead.


Drink to a Healthier You

People often neglect drinking water daily. Eight glasses of water a day is healthy but drinking more especially when you are always on the go and sweating out is very important.

The problem is, many do not even drink the minimum requirement of fluid intake. Water can help detoxify the body and help aid in losing weight and your love handles as well.

Forget about sweetened beverages, energy drinks, and alcoholic drinks and go for pure drinking water instead.
