Loss Of Interest In Satellite Television
53About five years ago, I decided to subscribe to Direct TV. I had heard varying things about DISH Network and decided that Direct TV had the perfect combination of what I was looking for. The gentleman came to install it and in no time we were up and running. Early on, they gave us unlimited access to premium channels, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The main benefit for me was the access I now had to football games, as it now seemed I could watch any game I wanted to at the click of a button. One drawback I have had with satellite television is that at certain times of the year, especially during stormy weather, the satellite loses reception. I understand that this type of thing can happen with any satellite receiver but at the point where I'm watching a football game, losing satellite reception can be a big deal. Over time, I've noticed that my children and I have both grown a little less interested with satellite tv. While it can be great when we want to watch our particular shows, the reality is that in general there's still "nothing on" during those other times. So no matter if you have regular tv that you pay nothing for or you pay $40/month for Direct TV, it still feels the same so spending the money sometimes feels silly. Overall though, I'd recommend satellite television to just about anyone who has the income to spend. These days though those types of people are becoming harder and harder to find.
