One of the best ways to find Louisville cheap hotels is through Priceline’s Name Your Own Price Service, in which you can bid for cheap hotels in Louisville. If you want hotel deals Priceline is the place to go to. When bidding you won’t know exactly which hotel you’ll be staying in, you’ll know the general area of the hotel as well as its star level (depending on which zone and star level you select). If your bid is accepted your credit card is charged and you find out what your hotel is. Although you might not like the uncertainty of Priceline, it is immensely popular for a reason: It gives out amazing deals! When hotels have unsold rooms and would like to fill them (which happens often), they use either Priceine or Hotwire (Priceline’s higher priced/easier to use rival) to fill their rooms. If you want the lowest price you want to have as many immediate rebids as possible. Priceline allows you to rebid immediately if you change your dates, your destination, your star level, or your zones. I can bet that you don’t want to change your dates, destination, or chosen star level. We’ll thus use what we have left...we'll use different zone combinations to get as many bids as possible.

Let’s go to Priceline and search for Louisville.

(Although my dates will obviously by different from yours, you’ll get the same results)

You’ll notice that there are 6 zones:

Brooks – Shepherdsville
Louisville Airport Area (SDF)
Louisville Downtown
Louisville East
Louisville North
Louisville Southwest

If you click and unlick on each zone you’ll see its maximum star level. I’ve done the work for you here:

Brooks – Shepherdsville: 2-Star Moderate
Louisville Airport Area (SDF): 3-Star Upscale
Louisville Downtown: 4-Star Deluxe
Louisville East: 3-Star Upscale
Louisville North: 3-Star Upscale
Louisville Southwest: 2 1⁄2-Star Moderate-Plus

To rebid again many times, all you have to do is add zone(s) that do not have the minimum star level which you are bidding on. Say you want to stay in a 3-Star Upscale hotel in the Louisville East zone. You can rebid again if you add the Louisville Southwest zone because its maximum star level is only 2 1⁄2-Star Moderate-Plus. This is the core of Priceline rebidding. There are many different zone combinations you can use to rebid again many many times. I explain it fully in Louisville Cheap Hotels: Finding them on Priceline.
