For us girls, we often find it difficult to compete with our boyfriend’s friends and love friends.  This article will show you how to get along with your boyfriend's friends. We often feel that they are a competition. It doesn’t mean that if they are friends with our boyfriends that we instantly have to like them, but learning to love friends can be done.

More often than not, most women think that the friends of their boyfriends are either a bad influence or a competition. We may always find ourselves disagreeing with them, or hating them for asking our boyfriends for a boy’s night out.  We might also find ourselves trying to convince our partners to dump their group of friends because they are not good enough for him.

However in most cases these boys have been friends with our boyfriend longer than we are with our partners. That they have shared years of experiences together as men. And whether we like them or not, they are already part of our partner’s life.

As a girlfriend, it is important that we should learn to love or like them as well. Here are some tips on how to love friends of your boyfriend:

1. Observe. Go out and try to have fun with them but also observe. Try to get to know them individually. Also bear in mind that they are also trying to get to know you. Listen to their conversations and watch how they interact with each other. Most likely, you will find one whom you will click the most.
2. Be one of the boys. Accept the fact that your boyfriend will always have these group of men as his buddies for the rest of his life so try to find one common thing that you and the boys love. It could be sports, outdoor activities etcetera. Your boyfriend does love friends so try and become a part of it.
3. Avoid the impulses. Okay so your boyfriend has an attractive set of friends. Period. Ignore the impulses that may strike every now and then. Remember you are committed to your boyfriend already. No more looking!
4. Be supportive. Remember that these men have a large impact on your boyfriend’s personality. He is the way he is now also because of them. Avoid controlling him when he wants to spend time with his boys. Do not forbid him. It is important that you give him time alone to spend with his buddies. You will earn their respect by giving him the freedom to do these stuff. Also, he will return the favor if you want to spend some time with your girlfriends too.

Bear in mind that if you want to spend the rest of your life with this man, you will have to love his friends.  You can start by finding things that you also like about them. Get to know their strengths and weaknesses too. Avoid arguing or disagreements with them. You don’t want to put your boyfriend in a situation where he will have to choose between you or them.

Remember that their friendship has been there longer that your romantic love so you will have to respect their friendship. Even if you disagree with their habits or you don’t like their personality. It is important that you will earn their trust and respect. They care for your boyfriend too. They too love him maybe not as much as you do. It is important to also make them feel that you will take good care of him and accept him the way they accept him as well. Love means acceptance not only of his whole being and personality but also the people that matters to him – love friends and love family.
