Love is Spiritual and Sex is Biological: Are Women spiritually stronger, and are men biologically superior?
61When I saw this question come up, I just had to answer. I think it's sad that people are still trying to define the sexes as being better or worse than the other in any aspect. Men biologically superior? I hardly think so. Though it may seem that men are better able to separate the physical act of sex from the emotional ties of love, women are every bit as capable. Women use sex (or threaten the lack of) as a bargaining tool, revenge, an ego boost, and a million other reasons that have nothing to do with love. Add the fact that men haven't figured out how to spit a watermelon through a peashooter (give birth), and the whole idea of biological superiority gets blown right out of the water.
As for women being spiritually stronger, again this assumption falls flat. Women are intuitive, and are more prone to hormone-charged emotions, but this doesn't make them stronger-just different. Men also look for that spiritual connection called love. Wars have been fought, songs have been written, and countless bank accounts have been drained in search of it. If it were simply sex that men were after, why would they sign up for a monogamous, life-long commitment when they could be playing the field instead?
Instead of painting the sexes with the same tired brush and assuming differences that aren't there, we should learn to compliment each other's weaknesses and strengths. When you find the right combination, we still make a pretty formidable team.
