Love me Love my Ghosts
56This is one of the poems I have written over time. It tells a story, of sorts, that is easily seen. I do hope you enjoy it very much.
If you love me,
You must love my ghosts.
They are with me
Everywhere I go.
My ghosts are not spirits,
As many believe them to be.
My ghosts are my past
They always follow me.
They are what makes me
Who I am today.
Everywhere I go,
My ghosts always stay.
New ghosts come
As I walk each step.
Molding, shaping me,
Making me my best.
Take me as I am
Try to change me not.
Love me, love my ghosts
Or please just, love me not.

Some of us have more ghosts than others, but all in all I agree with your poem. We cannot expect the ones we love to change their past or to fully recover from those events quickly. They do shape us, some good, some bad, hopefully always learning from them. Thank You :)
I appreciate the comments. Even the bad things that happened before help to shape who we are.
