Love or Lust?

What is the difference between love and lust? Love is a true emotion that lasts forever. When you love someone, your heart aches when they are hurt. You care about their welfare. Many people abuse the word love. They use it to get what they want, or because they think that is what the other person wants to hear. Love is very rare.

Lust is much more widespread. Many people talk about love at first sight, but more often than not, it is really lust at first sight. Lust is about physical attraction, sexual feelings. You see someone who turns you on. You have unclean thoughts about them. That's lust.

Which one is better? Love, of course.

Interesting take on love.  To me, love is something that develops over a long period of time, is founded in trust, and endures. But, it doesn't always last forever.

Lust is intense, but fleeting.

Yes! Love is better than lust. Lust is one-way (selfish) and "natural" Love is continuity in Jeshua. [Forever]

Great description of love and lust.

Love must start with self love - then we can share love - only when we fail to love ourselves can lust control our mind.
