The small seaside town of Lovina is located just three hours away from the International airport in Bali.  Lovina is a much more quieter and pleasant place to stay in Bali, than the busy south.

The price for a morning, sunrise boat trip is fixed at 60,000 rupiah per person.  Going out on a small boat at dawn is an amazing experience, but you will be joined with hundreds of other tourists hoping to catch a glimpse of the dolphins also.  If you go a little north or south from central Lovina, along the beach it is possible to see dolphins swimming from the shore.

The Banjar hot springs are another popular place for tourists visiting Lovina.  They are just a short drive from central Lovina, heading west along the main road towards Java.  The turnoff is clearly marked.

The hot springs are a great way to rest your body.  There is also a day spa and massage available at the hot springs.  The hot springs are set in a beautiful tropical garden.

With the availability of a retirement visa for Indonesia, some foreigners are choosing to live out their retirement in Lovina.  Lovina is a quiet place and property in Lovina is still cheap.
