Extreme drops in blood pressure can be extremely dangerous. There are many conditions that can be low blood pressure causes, so let’s take a closer look at them.

If a person experiences a serious accident, such as a car accident or a fall leading to a blow to the head causing massive bleeding he is subject to a drop in blood pressure. It is important to stop bleeding in these cases because loss of blood is one of the most sudden of low blood pressure causes.

Extremes in body temperature can be dangerous. Both low body temperature and high body temperature are low blood pressure causes. When a person has been exposed to severe cold it is important to raise his body temperature to raise blood pressure and prevent possible death. Overheating can be caused by spending too much time in the sun or by overexerting yourself in a hot environment and is as dangerous and exposure to cold temperatures.

Two other low blood pressure causes are heart muscle disease leading to heart failure and sepsis. Sepsis is a severe blood infection. Both condition can drive the blood pressure down and cause death.

Dehydration and reactions to medicine and alcohol are low blood pressure causes. Dehydration has to be very bad to cause serious lowering of the blood pressure but it can happen when vomiting, diarrhea and fever are involved.

These are some of the low blood pressure causes and should be taken very seriously. A sudden drop in blood pressure can be life threatening.

Good info! My normal bp is 90/60. Would be interested in reading about what could help raise bp.
