Let's Get This Party Started

So you wanna throw a Halloween party but you have no idea what kinda party to throw, well here are a few ideas. These ideas can be used for both adults and kids in most cases. The most important thing to remember is that it is a party and the point of it is to have fun so if you find your self stressed out during the party it is time to throw all advice out the window and go for yours.

Now is the time to take advantage of the occasion and have a dress up party. Have all of your friends dress up as their favorite singer / rapper and then make them sing karaoke, have everyone vote on who is the most believable and offer a prize. Karaoke is now offered through cable so setting up a karaoke party is not as expensive as it used to be. If cable is not an option and you have an xbox or play station or any other gaming system then a karaoke game can be rented. If you and a group of parents don't want your kids trick or treating in the neighbor hood then do a lock in for the kids and have each adult dress up like a different person and go in each room in the house the children can then knock on each door in the house and "trick or treat". A murder mystery is always a good one this time of year send out invitations stating who you want the person to come dressed as along with a back story for that person decide who dies ans how and then make it happen. leave clues for the guests to find and offer a prize for the person who figures out who did the deadly deed first. An adult lock in can also be done these usually start late in the evening. Everyone's keys are placed in a fishbowl and then put away for your safe keeping. From this point the drinks can flow and the party can get underway the pro of this kind of party is that you don't have to worry about any one getting in an accident from being drunk the con is that this party goes on for the entire night so don't invite anyone you can't stand being around for an extreme amount of time.
