It's import in these busy times to know how to improvise so you can do your lower ab workouts anywhere anytime. The Abs are the most important part of the body that shows you have a fit body. And despite what some people say, the abdomen is a big muscle and like any other muscle you can workout in more than one way. It doesn't mean that you should focus only in the lower ab workouts, but it is definitely an important part of the exercise. And unfortunately that is where most of that uncomfortable fat goes.

There are a few lower ab workouts that you can do anywhere which are as effective as those you can do at the gym.

First you need to make a plan and set up goals. In order to shape your abs you can't only make abdominal exercise and hope you will be losing fat like crazy. The nutrition part is very important too. And we are not going into that here, but I do advice you to look for a good and healthy diet plan. Also you will need to focus on the aerobic training. This is a kind of simple math... you must burn more calories than you put in to start losing fat. So, you will need to sweat! 4 times a week, 30 minutes per day of low level should be enough to start the aerobic training.

The abdomen is part of the core area of our body, also including the trunk and pelvis area. When we perform exercise for the core part it straighten all the muscles around it and keep them working together. This is very important to give you stability on a daily basis movement and also for doing other exercises. Lower ab workouts that focus on strengthening your core muscle will make you stronger and help prevent injuries.

The best lower ab workouts you can do anywhere is using a stability ball. It works your core area very well and you will need to make a small investment to buy this ball. Which is trivial considering the benefits you will get with it. You can work any part of the abdomen with the stability ball, as well as other muscle around it. It prevent injuries because it wraps your back and gives you a lot control to do the exercise.

Here are some good exercises that you can do:

Pelvic Tucks

Sit on the ball and keep your feet about hip width apart on the floor. Let the ball slide to your back and keep you heels fixed on the floor. Let your pelvis fit on top of the ball. Bring your upper body about two inches up and go back to the original position. Do that 3 times of 20 reps.

Waistline Chops

Sit on the ball and let it roll until your back fits well. Bring your hands together with straight arms on top of your head. Chop to the sides rising up your body just a bit from the ball. This exercise is very good for your oblique muscles. It will give you a trim waist. Also do 3 times of 20 reps.

Crunches

Crunches exercises with stability ball is one of the best lower ab workouts you can do. The ball gives you the possibility to increase the range of the movement and as you improve it, it becomes easier to make the exercise more intensive. Start with your belly button centered over the ball and hands behind your head. Lift up slowly from the ball, concentrate on the abs working. Try to do that at least 3 times of 15 reps.

Keep in mind that results come with consistency. Make your lower ab workouts regularly and get a good diet plan.

Thanks for the advice. Another great lower ab exercise with the stability ball(SB) is doing a reverse crunch with the ball underneath your legs. You lie flat on your back and put the SB underneath your legs. Squeeze with your hamstrings so the ball gets pinched between your heels and your butt. Pull your knees towards your chest and lift your lower back off the ground. Then slowing return just before the starting point so your abs stay contracted all the time. This is one of my favorite ab exercises. Thanks for the hub and good luck to all the readers.
