Lower Your Golf Handicap

Lower Your Golf Handicap is something most golfers try and accomplish. But, few ever realize the proper swing mechanics which will help them. And not only do you have to begin practicing the proper swing mechanics; You also need a better short game.

When hitting balls on the range, it's critical to actually use the right swing path and plane. It does a golfer little or no good to stand out there aimlessly pounding balls. The more repititions you take with a off plane swing, the more you embed the poor fundamentals. Practicing over and over a swing which does not produce your proper ball flight will only keep you from lower your golf handicap.

Let me share with you a few tips to getting the swing on plane and what functions the hips, hands and right knee play in your golf swing.

Hands - Have you taken the time to watch pro's hit balls on television? You should understand that there swings are obviously the best and the swings you need to mimic. Notice how the professional golfer moves the club head back from the ball. His hands never break, they are taken back with one piece. The hands only break at the top of the swing. This helps put the club on plane and eliminate the hands, so they don't hind hinder you.

Hips - Hips turn and start the downswing. If you slide forward to get your weight moving to the front side, you have a major swing flaw. The hips need to rotate without floating forward. Imagine a pole running through the top of your head to the ground. You need to learn to turn, hips are the key to a reliable weight transfer and swing.

Back knee - Here is a secret, the back knee can help you turn into a strong front side. All you have to do is kick your back knee inwards to start your downswing. When you push the knee in, your hips start to turn naturally, this helps to lower your golf handicap. And makes it easier for you to turn properly into the ball and make solid contact.

There are many elements which can start to shave a few strokes, short game practice can also help you get a few digits off your handicap. In order to go low, you need proper swing mechanics and the right confident mindset. You cannot have confidence if you are spending all your time looking for balls in the woods.

I struggled with my swing until I discovered help from Fluid Golf Swings. Researching golf instruction, I stumbled onto this guy and my swing has become better. Not expert by no means, but I routinely shoot in the 70's.

Don't waste $400 bucks on a new driver or some new putter, it's the Indian not the arrow. The only way to get better at golf is with proper instruction and a better golf swing.
