In the year BE2481, Luang Por Pahn had passed away at the age of 63 on 26th July. He was the 3rd Abbot of Wat Bang Nom Koh. Luang Por Pahn came into this world on 16th July of the year BE2418 in Jangwat Ayuttayah. Luang Por Pahn's family were farmers. His parents gave him the name as Pahn when he was borned with a red birth marks on his left hand. The name Pahn meant birth marks in Thai language.
When he reached the age of 21, Luang Por Pahn was ordained as a monk on 1st April BE2438. At that time, his preceptor was Luang Por Sun from Wat Pahngplahmor. When he was a monk, sammahdti and Pra Ah Jahn Oun Wat Sutahpoh were his dhamma teachers. Shohnantoh was Luang Por Pahn's ordain name. As a monk, Luang Por Pahn started to learn from Luang Por Sun Wichah. During that period, Luang Por Sun taught Luang Por Pahn everything about Wichah (magic chant), sammahdti and skills to cure people from illnesses and black magic. During that time, there were very few doctors so monks had to learn about curing the sick. After learning all those skills from LP Sun, Luang Por Pahn went to Tudong alone in the deep forest. At that time, he met a few monks who became his disciples. He went to Tudong from Ayuttayah to as far as the Burma in the North West of Thailand.
LP Pahn soon returned to Wat Bang Nom Koh where he built school for the novice to study Pali and Dhamma. At the same time, he rebuilt the Wat Bang Nom Koh from a small little temple into a bigger that still exists today. During those days, LP Pahn had helped to rebuild as many as 41 Tmeples in Ayuttayah.
