Isaiah 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

Christians believe and teach that this verse is talking about Satan. They say Satan used to be a beautiful archangel of the Lord, "Lucifer" but that he turned his back on God, and started a War in Heaven [uh-huh, and we're supposed to want to go there?]. They use Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28 as proof of this doctrine..

Nevermind the fact that "Satan" and "devil" are not mentioned ANYWHERE IN THE ENTIRE BOOKS OF ISAIAH AND EZEKIEL!!---minor detail...

So, who is Lucifer? Actually it's not hard at all to find out:

Verse 4: That thou [Isaiah] shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!

Strong's Concise Concordance: LUCIFER: Title applied to the king of Babylon.

Simple right? It's so easy, a caveman could've figured this out!

FACT: The word "lucifer" originates from the LATIN... not Hebrew or Greek--from which the Scriptures originated...

God created a Serpent ... not an archangel

Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman...

Who created the serpent? God did. Second Witness:

Job 26:13 By his [God's] spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.

Who is the serpent?

Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan...

Second Witness:

Revelation 20:2 He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years.

THROUGHOUT THE SCRIPTURES, SATAN IS CALLED MANY THINGS--SERPENT, DEVIL, DRAGON, LEVIATHAN, FATHER OF LIES, ADVERSARY, DESTROYER, ROARING LION--BUT NEVER IS SATAN CALLED AN ARCHANGEL!

There is but ONE VERSE where Satan is referred to as an "angel"... Check it Out:

II Corinthians 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his [Satan's] ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Who are these "false apostles" who transformed Satan into an angel of light [a beautiful Archangel]?

THE UNTOLD ORIGIN OF "LUCIFER"


From my American Heritage College Dictionary, Lucifer n. 1. The archangel cast from heaven for leading the revolt of the angels; Satan. < OE, morning star, Lucifer < Latin Lucifer < lucifer, light-bringer: lux, luc-, light" (page 821).

The very next word under "Lucifer" is, luciferase n. An enzyme that catalyzes the oxidation of luciferin." Hmmmmm. What have we here? "Lucifer + in."

And the word that follows "luciferase" in this same dictionary is: " luciferin n. A chemical substance present in the cells of bioluminescent organisms, such as fireflies that produce a bluish-green light when oxidized. [Latin Lucifer, light-bringing; see LUCIFER + -IN.]" (page. 821).

There it is! Lucifer is the ‘chemical bioluminescence’ in the cells of FIREFLIES! WOW! With that in mind, we should all sleep better tonight.
