Having gold in World of Warcraft seems like a never ending problem. It's kind of like in real life. There is always something to buy. While you're grinding your characters for levels you will always need better gear to help speed up the process.

Buying mounts, especially epic mounts is hideously expensive, but is absolutely necessary if you want to get past level 40 on to 80 in any reasonable amount of time. If you aren't an experienced WoW player or you aren't part of a rich guild, it can be really hard to get much gold.

It also sucks if you want to do PVP or raiding without decent gear. If you don't have the right gear, you are going to get destroyed in PvP all the time. Raiding is also that much harder if you don't have good gear. Of course, the easiest way to get a start on your uber gear is to buy it.

I had the same problem for the longest time until I found Luke Brown's Gold Secrets guide. Luke's guide is a resource that I can say honestly changed the way I play World of Warcraft. You see, in a game like WoW, time is money and money is time.

Making sure you have plenty of gold is a real time saver for sure. No longer did I waste time gaterhing mats to grind professions or get stuck in junky gear. Reading Luke's gold guide really opened my eyes to how the WoW economy really works.

Make Money From The Auction House

The biggest change is I took one of my alts and camped them out at the auction house to buy and sell items on a regular basis. The ebook showed me what I needed to do to find items that are listed for incredibly cheap and then re-list them for a more reasonable price, something closer to true market value.

Here's an example of how it works. Say you are just starting a character and you list a stack of 20 medium leather for 1 gold. That might seem like a lot to you, but you don't realize is that a fair market price on that stack of leather might be 5 gold. If you only go to the auction house to dump your items once or twice a week, you will have no idea what the market price for much of anything is, so you list an item for too cheap. Oops.

Luke's gold secrets showed me that this phenomenon happens all the time. So, I watch the items on the auction house to see when someone has under priced something. I buy it for cheap and re-list it at a more accurate market price. The difference between what I bought it for an the true market price that I sell it at is my profit.

This is a much faster way to make money because you might spend a couple minutes to turn 10 gold into 100 gold or 100 gold into 1,000 gold just by buying and selling items at the auction house.

That is just one strategy I learned from Luke's gold guide. It's been updated to the latest expansion with even more information that has really helped me make even more gold. Now there is tons of information about daily quests, the best item drops to farm, and so on. It really includes a lot of useful stuff

Admittedly, some areas of the guide didn't really help me too much. I don't like fishing because I think it's boring, even if it is completely useful, so that doesn't help me too much, but with the amount of gold I make regularly from the auction house, I give Luke's Gold Secrets Guide two thumbs up. It's not perfect, but it's worth the money for sure.
