In 1940 a 16 year old Mexican girl wrote a song that has been recorded and/or performed by thousands of performers, even until now.The list is impressive from Jimmy Dorsey to the Beatles to American Idol's Sanjaya.

The song has an eerily attractive quality even if you don't speak the language it is written in. In my opinion God himself was speaking through that little girl back in 1940 to create a mesmerizing melody that has (and will) pass the tests of time.
