MAN - SPIRIT SOUL AND BODY - SWORD OF THE SPIRIT - Part III
58When we put on the armor of God daily, we take the same time sword of the spirit. It is only one, which is an offensive weapon. The rest of the weapons are defensive ones.
Ephesians 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
The word of God is the sword of the spirit.
Sometimes it is difficult to make the right decision in our lives. Sometimes we are seeking to follow the will of God and we do not know what to do.
We do not know sometimes if it is God or I. Some may guess or even prophecy by themselves instead of hearing from the Holy Spirit. The confirmation is in the Word of God. We must be in the line with the Word. The Word of God is the final authority of believer.
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Our spirit is connected with the Holy Spirit. We have to be led by Him.
Our mind often agrees with the flesh. Even evil spirits can talk to our soul (mind). They cannot read our minds but they are able to talk to our minds. The soul is often in contrary to our spirit. If, however, our spirit is in control, the soul then leans on the boss – the spirit. If the flesh is in control the soul follows the flesh. Then the man becomes carnal person.
Sometimes it is difficult to discern the truth from lies or between the spirit and soul. We want to follow the spirit (and Holy Spirit). It as if there is no border we see clearly between the joint and bone marrow. Then we have to have a scalpel to see the line. The scalpel is the sword in our case it is Word of God.
Now we may know how to make right decisions.

Sciantel, you are right. I just tried to point the Sword (WOG) how to use it now. I appreciate your true comment.
I love your opening paragraph, that the Sword is offensive and the rest of the armor is defensive. The Word of God will sharply offend those walking against it and will then show us reason to have the defensive armor on for the enemy's retaliation. The Word of God's life force is the Holy Spirit, the power of God unto salvation for every one who believes, amen! Praise God, that when we open our mouths and share the Word of God, it never returns to God void. It places itself between the joints and marrow of the listener and will cause them conviction that will never go away. You're right, Sciantel ~ it will be the ultimate Sword that slays the Enemy once and for all. The Bible says the Word of God will be the Judge!

When Jesus returns, did you know that it is described at how His mouth will be like a two edged sword. That means when He comes back, He will speak words from the Bible and those who took the Mark of Satan will literally explode from within.
