Greetings Future Marine Wife's!

I know you must find it very difficult to plan events since most of the time you want to match your partners uniform. I have a dear friend who would come to me all the time when she had to go to a Marine ball for a dress. I thought to myself, what happens when you have to throw your own ball! That's when I decided to search around for elegant ideas to help you out. I actually think the colors gold, yellow, red and blue all accent themselves very well. As I began to think, I said to myself, this might not be so hard after all.

I would recommend you find photos and have them printed of cakes, and flowers. Take them to a local florist and see how they can expand your own vision. I always praise the local vendors more so then any well known company because the little cake and flower shops really have the best talented individuals that do not need to be in a big event company. Almost any flower or icing on a cake can fit your color theme. Most people think to hard about what to do but really all you need is right in front of you. Regardless of what season you are planning your event, I believe these colors fit all year round so your very lucky!! I found really neat cookies which can be used as a favor if you wanted however I also thought how cute is a love letter opener. I tend to think of clever ideas but really it is the most realistic! I know your husband to be is out there serving so if you miss a phone call your more then likely going to get a letter. Now the majority of your guests, I would imagine would be other Marines and future Marine wife's so they would think of it being a neat idea as well. Another idea is to rent gold chairs in place of the venue chairs. I always like to bring other tables such as square tables and chairs such as the wicker chairs because it brings more of a modern and romantic feel to the event. They can be filled with mints and the place card can be made right on your own computer along with matching invitations if you really wanted to get creative and save some money. I say google how to do your own because there are sites that will give you free templates and example wording. I know it is hard to find what you like out there. Most cases we get pressed for time and just settle for a plain second best option. Don't let that happen! Now aside from table decor if you wanted to keep the room decor simple but still wanted to incorporate the blue, I have added a concept that has special lighting which is another fabulous alternative.
