I vividly remember seeing the evolution of BABY MEENA into MEENA the rocking star who has carved a niche for herself on the sheer strenght of her drop dead looks and an over-flow of talent. It seems just like yesterday but was actually wayback in 1982 that she came on the screen in films like 'Nenjal & Anuballa Rajnikanth' and their success ensured that Baby Meena was going to be around for a while as a child artiste. Infact she acted in as many as 45 films as a child artiste alone in Tamil, Telegu, Malayalam & even Hindi films.

Even though the going was pretty good for Baby Meena her parents were worried that her studies were suffering and she was maturing to fast for her age because of her exposure to films.That was when they decided to pull her out and get her back into a normal life.

Several years later down the line destiny ensured that she return back where she belonged and thus Baby Meena had blossomed into MEENA who was back as a mainstream heroine when she made her debut as a heroine in  the Tamil film 'Oru Pudiya Kadhai'.Subsequently she went on to do almost 50 Tamil films as a leading lady. She has done an equal amount of Telegu films making her debut in 'Nava Yugam' opposite Rajendra Prasad after which their was simply no looking back.

"SEETHA RAMAYYA GAARI MANAVA RAALU" was a turning point in her Telugu film career; where she played the role of the grand daughter of SRI AKKININI NAGESWARA RAO, The film ran for 200 days in Andhra Pradesh. 

"CHANTI" was a super hit wherein she acted opposite VENKATESH. This Film also ran for more than 200 days in Andhra Pradesh. 

 She has also acted in Malayalam and Kannad also having done  4 films in each language but what comes as a rather pleasant surprise is that she has had her share of Bollywood films too one of them being Dev Anand's Censor and two best forgotten films like 'Parda Hai Parda and horror of horror 'Miya Biwi Aur Saali' No wonder she is not to keen to remember her Bollywood trip even though it was Dev Anand who brought her to Mumbai.
