MKportal -- A Content Management System

I have been wondering and amazed that how can people setup a fully functioned website in a minute. All these portal websites may have forum, blog, album, video, download and chat-rooms, etc, etc. I think they might have dozens of IT gurus who are working on the website 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

But when I started search around, I gradually realized that nothing as I imagined. There are a lot of ready-made website already on the Internet, to setup a fully-functioned website is just several click on the button! Then I can't help laughing at myself, and start to admire those IT professionals who works day and night to integrate every thing together and give others for free. The first I came across is MKportal ---- free portal/CMS system.

MKPortal is a free Content Manage System (CMS) which integrates with the forums such as phpBB, vBulletin, and MyBB etc. It uses the forum user management system and other features and adds many powerful modules to create and manage a light but powerful web site.

MKPortal which likes many other free web2.0 software, requires PHP+MySQL, but even if you never heard about this buzz word, you still can setup up and kick it running in no time. But, sometime things may go wrong and get you stuck in trouble just because you "click the button" in wrong order or go under wrong procedure. I have this headache during my messing about with MKportal, the problem still exist.
