Many wanna be entrepreneurs looking to start an MLM Home Based Business have visions of millions filling there bank accounts while they lay on some sandy beach of some exotic island where the weather is always great and the view always beautiful. Nothing wrong with that. A vision is great for moral. But understand that it is, in fact, only a vision. At some point a plan has to be in place in order to reach that vision. That's where people get it wrong.

They either have NO plan of action, or a plan destined to fail. It's a pity because these people do have good intentions (as well as the drive), but to put it bluntly, that does not get the job done. It's like building a house with either no architectual designs, or designs that are flawed. So you can have all the motivation in the world, but you will still fail.

So what do you do? You copy a plan of action that has proven to work. You can't try to reinvent the wheel here. Trailblazers need not apply. A proven system that will suck in Network Marketing leads and convert those leads into both a downline and a commision. We'll discuss how in a moment. But first, just know that a proven plan of action is what is needed in order to make an MLM Home Based Business a success the first time out. With that said, let's get to work!!!

Now that i have instilled the need for a plan of action, the next question becomes "Okay, plan of action it is. But what is going to be my plan of action if i'm a newbie or someone who hasn't been successful?" Now listen up because this is where it gets crucial if you want to be in a much higher tax bracket next year and beyond.

What most first time MLM'ers do is pitch everything that is breathing and has a pulse. Family, friends, strangers at the grocery store, etc., They think that Network Marketing is a sales game. That's one of the reasons why this great business has had such a bad reputation in the past. But let me tell you straight up that it's NOT a sales game. That's the reason why the failure rate is so high in this industry, and most people are TERRIBLE at sales (including myself). No one likes to be sold. So what's the secret sauce?

If you understand the concept that i am about to share with you now, then you will not only be successful in an MLM Home Based Business, but any online business for that matter because the concept works in any market, but more so in Network marketing.

To illustrate my point, we will use an example. Let's say you were looking to join an MLM Business. Now there are obviously many opportunities out there and people to join. Let's assume you had time to think about where you wanted to go and who you wanted to join up with. Which group of people would you join?:

• The pushy salesman that you just met that is promising you riches literally overnight with little work involved, or
• The knowledgeable "expert" whom you have developed a relationship with that teaches you how to become successful in the MLM Home Based Business industry.

     I think it's obvious what the answer is. The first choice didn't give a hoot about your financial future and was just looking to get a payday out of you, whereas the second one was helping you get what you want (success in Network Marketing) in a none-pushy manner by using the consultative approach. See the difference? It's the reason why so few are successful, whereas the minority are banking it big time in this game.

     So being a consultant to someone as opposed to picthing people is the appraoch we want to take in the MLM Home Business arena.  We will cover how to do that later.  But your first question might linger around the word i used before, EXPERT.  You might be asking yourself,"But i'm not an expert, so how can i be the consultant to someone else in a Network marketing business?"  Let's tackle that question because it is an important one....

The first thing people say when i tell them that they need to become the consultant as opposed to a salesman is that they don't know enough about the MLM Home Based Business.  They feel that they need to know everything about Network Marketing before they even attempt this approach. 

Well i'm here to tell you two things;

1. You will NEVER know everything there is to know about this industry, no matter how long you study it.  So don't even bother to try.  But the great news is that there are people in the MLM industry that don't even know what you are about to know that are making in the five figures monthly.  Yes, monthly. 
   
2. The second thing is what actually defines an expert.  Well i'll tell you right now, and it's this;  If you know more than someone else about something, ANYTHING, then you are the expert.  The breadth of the knowledge isn't important.  If i'm watching TV and someone tells me something about a subject that i didn't know before, then they are the expert to me.  He may not know much more than me (or maybe not much at all) about that particular subject, but if he told me something that i wasn't aware of, then he is the expert, or "Authority," in my eyes.  End of story...
   

     If you have been involved in Internet Network Marketing for any length of time, you may have come across a concept that is getting more and more attention lately for good reason.  It's called the Funded Proposal and it deserves a mention if you are seriosuly considering starting an MLM Home Based Business.  Below i will tell you what it is as well as how it will help you in your Network marketing Business.

     First, let me illustrate the typical situation that most people have when they begin an MLM Business.  They join an opportunity and decide that they want to advertise it heavily in order to get massive exposure and hence, a large downline.  After all, the money is in the downline, right?  That's why we play this game, to get the residual income from it, and that residual income resides from the downline that you create. 

     Let' say that they have some money to spend, but not much.  So they will put it to work.  The strategy that they use to put it to work is not relevant to my point (we will discuss Marketing Strategies, both paid and free, another time).  They put that money to work and get a few prospects.  Now mind you, these are not DOWNLINE members, just prospects. 

     Fast forward, and eventually you have ran out of money, with no downline members to show for it.  What do you do?  Give up, or get some more money somehow and continue the cycle?  Most people quit at this point and say MLM doesn't work.  But there is a much better way, and this new way keeps money coming in, so you can not only keep advertising, but also keeping some money for yourself even when then prospects DON'T join your opportunity. 

     This is where the funded proposal concept comes in.  The Funded Proposal is a concept where you will sell affiliate products to your prospects in order to fund the advertisng costs.  The affiliate products that you will sell to them will be products that will either teach them how to do Network Marketing, or a tool that will automate some of the tasks involved in building an MLM Home Based Business.  Why does this work? 

• Most people will not join your business, so this is a way to finance your business whether they join your opportunity or not.
• Most people would rather learn how to do a particular task, than actually do it themselves. 
  
• The money allows you to continue promoting your business.

So as you can see, the Network Marketer of the future will always have some element of a Funded Proposal in there Marketing Funnels because it allows them to both;

1. Fund there Marketing Operations so they can continue to market for as long as they want, and
2. Turn a profit even if no one joins there business.  

So there it is.  Get acquainted with this concept and read it as many times as it takes for you to understand it thoroughly, because it will be the single most important concept you will ever learn in the MLM Home Based Business Industry.
