The cardinal rule of signing network marketing leads is to see things through their eyes. You must understand where they are coming from in order to tailor your message to meet their desires and expectations. This is basic to all good sales pitches and this is really what you are doing now.
You must remember that the lead prospect does not care in the least how much money you make or how big the company is. They do not care how many units are sold each month or how many new people are signing up for this amazing opportunity. The only thing they are thinking about is, "what's in it for me?"
So how do you find out where your lead is coming from? How do you determine what is important to them? You ask a question and then you listen. Listen to their hopes. Listen to their dreams. Listen about their families. Listen about their jobs. And I don't mean pretend like you are listening while thinking of something else or, heaven forbid, writing or texting while the person is trying to give you her or his story.
The other person will love the fact that you are taking an interest in them. But that is not why you do this. You listen because the prospect is telling you how to sign them. They are giving you all the information you need to hit their hot buttons with answers to their desires and needs. If you can show them how your business fulfills their wants then you are very close to signing them to your organization.
Signing MLM leads comes down to showing them how your opportunity can fit in with their life needs. They will tell you what is important to them if you only ask a question and then listen for the entire responce. Concentrate on what they are saying and give them your undivided attention.

This is not being dishonest. I truly enjoy people, that is one reason why I got into this business. It is easy to be interested in people when you are truly curious about them. Yu can try to fake wanting to learn about others but it won't work. This is being unethical and morally repugnant. Also, it comes across as dishonest and people will run from you like the plague, which they should. Maybe you won't even sign this person but by being honest with them and listening you may find another friend and we can all use that.
Also, as the prospect talks about themselves they will tell you what then need and want. All you have to do is show them how your business can fulfill what they want out of life.
