One of the most important processes to building your network marketing organization has to do with enrolling people.
For most people, it's also the most difficult thing to do and that's a major problem !
I'm going to simplify this for you and also help you rid of any fears you have when contacting leads by way of phone or in person.
Now in order for this method to work well for you, you will need an abundant supply of leads but that's something more complex that I'll cover in another article.
The first thing you need to establish is that YOU are in control of any conversations you have with your leads.
I don't care if you are just starting out in this profession and think you don't know enough to wow anybody yet. I want you to believe in the fact that you know more than the person you are talking to.
Chances are that you probably do know more than the other person even if it isn't by much.
The point is that YOU are possibly going to offer them a position on your business team.. you are not begging anyone to join you.
You're not begging them because in actuality you are looking for people that qualify at a certain level to even join your opportunity.
The bottom line is you must turn the table around on anyone that comes across as a bully or isn't taking your conversation seriously.
By coming across as if you don't even have time for their BS and that you have standard requirements, you make them realize that maybe you are the real deal and that they better get it together real quick before you tell them that they've disqualified themselves from being considered.
Have a mindset of abundance and make them believe that your time is actually more valuable than theirs and that you have many more people waiting in line for your guidance and opportunity.
Be an actor and have fun with this. Just pretending to have a dominance over others can be quite exciting and empowering. After practicing this technique a few times, you wont even mind calling your leads.
The fear of being rejected will completely disappear and you wont even care if you give up leads and don't enroll them.
The object in that sense is to weed out any tire-kickers or ignorant individuals that are not open to learning more or expanding their horizons.
People like that will just consume your energy & resources which will just end up taking away from the people that deserve your attention.
When we enroll people we want the best of the best as far as potential business partners. We don't need negativity and opposition.
It would be like having a monkey on your back while trying to run a race.. people like that will only bring you down and make you want to quit anyway.
So again, when the conversation starts it's your job to make it clear that the call is for the purpose of interviewing them for a position on your team and for nothing else.
It's not for them to question you about anything. You're the one asking the questions because you're looking for them to give you pre-qualifying answers that would lead to them making it to the next step.
If they are negative and object during that process.. they are out and you must move on to the next potential prospect on your list.
If you warn them to get it together and they change their tune then you can continue the interview.. if not just give them your number, email and personal branded website address again, then tell them to have a nice day.
That's about all it comes down to in a nutshell.
If they make it through the interview and you like what you heard based on answers to your questions, you can ask them if they have any questions at that time.
People will give you the run around many times because they are testing you to see if you can answer questions or to see how you hold up under pressure.
True leaders will take control and overcome such obstacles. There's a lot more specifics that can be covered when it comes to answering their questions in a way that stops them cold, but again these would take a whole other article.
The object of this article was to build a strong foundation when dealing with calling leads for the first time and I think I have established that for you.
