Easy Tips on Saving

Here are a few money saving tips that may save you a few dollars in the long run.

  • Watch movies and tv reruns on Hulu.com on your computer for free.
  • Unplug electronics when not in use. This includes cell phone chargers, clock radios, printers, or other equipment while not in use. These small items can use about as much electricity as your refrigerator.
  • Repurpose those left-overs. Grilled chicken the night before, make chicken fajitas tonight. The same thing with steaks.
  • Do an annual maintenance tune-up on your central air and heating system or furnance to save on your utility bill.
  • Run double errands. This is a simple way to save about 15-25% on your monthly gas bill. Rather than running multiple errands at different times. Group or double your errands together.
  • Turn off lights when you leave a room.
  • Get A Library Card- Lots of uses here. You can check out movies, books, audiobooks all for free!! Cancel those magazine subscriptions you only glance at or barely pick up, you can read or flip through the pages of these magazines at the library.
