Ipod Headphones Are Not All Created Equal
No matter which way you look to the right or the left that little gizmo from Apple the iPod seems to be everywhere. It has grown a life of its own and has invaded every space imaginable. Most people listen to their favorite tracks on them endlessly and the need for a new set of iPod headphones can rapidly approach you. Finding the perfect set seems like a no-brainer for most, but I learned that not all headphones are created equal and that is never truer than with the Apple iPod.
Most people who need a new set of iPod headphones purchase them from the Apple store which I really do not understand when there are ones that work ten times better than those. All iPod headphones going through a tough testing process to make sure they will work on the machine. Many fail, but many pass the test also. Let us look at some of my personal favorites that will take your listening to your music to another level. You will wonder how you got along without these for so long. First up is the Street series twist to fit ear buds model SNHMX55V. The twist to fit your ear feature is something that you will definitely love. Many times you will purchase a set of headphones only struggle to get them to fit into your ear and more importantly stay in. This model cures that problem and works well. These have a bass sound to them as it seems people love lots of bass and many songs have that incorporated into the music anyway. Toss in a low price and this set will be one that you will need to co0nsider in the future.
If you're a newbie or a seasoned pro most everyone has heard of the name Sennheiser and for good reason. This company produces a top quality product line that is always updated and they have many different iPod headphones to choose from. One of my favorites is the neckband Sennheiser MX60. This set is perfect for the person on the go, but really do not like the earbud styling that many do. You get great sound quality and the performance of these is right up there as well. Toss in the reputation that Sennheiser has and you cannot go wrong with a purchase from this company that is for sure.
Now if you are looking to hear nothing but your music than you will want to go with canal phones. These have a number of distinct advantages over others on the market today. These fit in the ear canal and block outside noises, so this means all you will hear is your rich audio content from your iPod. These have become popular in recent years and our still today. Now there is only one big disadvantage to this type of iPod headphone and that is working like earplugs you cannot hear outside noises. This means you must be very careful when jogging or doing anything outside as you will not be able to hear things. This set is probably best left for indoor use where the chance for a serious accident is much less.
If you really want to take your iPod headphones into the future than you by all means should think about a wireless set of headphones. Logitech came out with a set in 2005 that weighs only about 3.2 ounces and uses Bluetooth technology to power it. Batteries will last around eight hours and it is compatible with most iPod models. This will let you move around without the worry about unplugging your connection. You can pick a signal up to 30 feet away so you're not stuck always having the iPod attached to you. Another big advantage of this system is you will also be able to make your speakers wireless without having to buy new ones. The only drawback to this is you must stay within the 30 feet range or it will not work.
Replacement Ipod headphones as you can see have come a long way since the first ones were introduced. You can get them in all shapes and sizes and even prices. If you're willing to spend a lot you can have the best set around. There are many affordable ones as well which we highlighted above. With Bluetooth technology really taking off look for more of this style to hit the market as well. The ipod is going to be around for a long time so why not make it sound better with a new set of powerful headphones.
