The best priced Airsoft MOD5 PDW on the market

We've sold many variations of the Airsoft MOD5 Personal Defense weapons (PDW). But one that really stands out in terms of build quality, performance and price is the Galaxy G5K PDW Airsoft Electric Gun. Galaxy is a mid-range airsoft manufacturer based in China. They are comparable to Well and Jing Gong. Best known for their MOD7 and MOD5 variants, Galaxy airsoft is earning its reputation in the Airsoft market.
Priced under $100, this MOD5 AEG is no cheapy. Its a solid ABS Bodied Airsoft guns with metal parts. It's well designed and fits tightly together. In fact there is little, if any, wobble in the body or grips. Compared to the real thing, it's hard to tell the difference. It's metal gearbox and adjustable hop-up performs to par with its TM counterparts.
BB feed is via the typical MOD5 Hi-Cap Magazine with the Ratchet type winder wheel. It holds approximately 240 rounds. The clip fits tightly in the magazine well and provides reliable BB feed.
The Galaxy Airsoft G5k MOD5 AEG comes with an 8.4v 1100Mah stick battery that loads along the top of the upper receiver. We did note the battery was a little loose in the housing, but wrapping it with a little electric tape remedied that problem. Once the battery is installed it can be recharged in place by removing the fore grip.
Overall performance of this airsoft gun is outstanding! It's got a high rate of fire and out of the box shoots 300-315 FPS with .20g BBs, although we've heard reports of up to 330FPS. The short barrel on this PDW yields a cool, realistic gun sound that is sure to intimidate your opponents on the airsoft field. Its accuracy is average at 50-75 feet, but then again it's designed for close quarters combat (CQB) and that is where it excels. At the time of this writing, we've fired about 10000 rounds through our test model and it's still going strong. The only problems we encounterered were resolved with a quick airsoft fix. The gears didn't mesh right once while firing in semi, which is fixed by switching to full auto and firing a few rounds. Also, care needs to be taken when replacing the foregrip, as the hop-up adjustment can be bumped if your not watching what your doing.
The only downside to this gun, which it seems all Galaxy products suffer from, is low quality paint on the fire selector switch. It almost seems as if the paint has faded on it. Not sure if the Chinese manufacturer made it this way to give it an "metal, real gun look" or if its just inferior paint. If you purchase one, don't worry, you didn't get a used model. Savy airsofters can remedy this with a new paint job. Either way you should not let that minor note disuade you from purchasing this great preforming AEG. It's well worth the price!
For the price, you get a high-quality, fun MOD5 personal defense Airsoft weapon. The Airsoft Galaxy G5K is best suited for CQB, but would make a great sidearm for airsoft field skirmishes. Check out Galaxy G5K MOD5 airsoft Electric gun and other Airsoft guns by Galaxy on our website:

The Airsoft MP5 has developed a new found respect from our cat Leo. He limps a little now, but it’s a small price to pay to preserve the finish on my new BMW. Great Product!
