MTV's Real World Sydney Reunion

Where Are They Now?
The Real World Sydney Reunion premiered on MTV last night and answered those mind blowing questions we've all been waiting for, and in typical Real World Reunion style, left just as many unanswered.
First up, the Ashli and Dunbar situation. The two, who looked the same as the day they left Sydney, smiled and said they're both friends and get along great now. Dunbar revealed that he is now living with girlfriend Julie in Mississippi, so she obviously got over his sleeping with Ashli. The topic comes up again at the close of the show when host, Lyndsey a random Aussie, asks the couple again how they feel about each other, obviously probing for them to say something more. Dunbar starts to get on one knee for a mock proposal. I wonder how girlfriend Julie feels about that little gesture. While obviously meant and received as a joke, I would not certainly not feel comfortable with my boyfriend feigning a proposal to the girl he cheated on me with and having it broadcast on cable TV. We never hear about what Julie had to say about his actions or how they are working it out, other than Dubar saying that him and Julie fight once a week.
In other couple news, we find out that KellyAnne has already been to visit Cohutta in the mountains of Georgia, and both also looked exactly the same as in the Sydney house with cutesy outfit and cowboy hate in tow. They seem a little confused on their relationship status as host Lyndsey tries to get them to official define what they are to each other. KellyAnne appears eager to say that they are together and happy whereas Cohutta looks almost disinterested in where they are going. He says that he cares about KellyAnne as a friend and that she's very special to him, but nothing more. If I were sleeping with someone, I would be insulted if they said they cared about me as a friend and nothing more.
The cutest relationship of all on the show, Isaac and Noirin, is also left at "complicated." Isaac says that him and Noirin could be marriage material but isn't sure whether or not it will end up working out with the distance between them. When asked point blank if he would move to Ireland to be with her, he responded "absolutely not." Something strikes me as off about the situation. Isaac seems relunctant to discuss it, and during his interrogation, Ashli reaches over and empathetically rubs Isaac's back. It looks to me like this might be a sensitive subject for Isaac and that more is going on than he's leading on.
Shauvon was back with her same ridiculous chest, hair extensions, and orange painted face, plus about 20 pounds. She actually resembles a blow up doll more than a real human being. She discussed her behavior on the show including her ridiculous fight with Parisa over a grilled cheese sandwich! Shauvon claimed it was more than the sandwich, but the fact that Parisa picked the boys in the house over the girls. Shauvon likes to hang out with "girl's girls" like her and Trisha, whatever that means. She also brings us up to speed on where she is with her boyfriend David, for whom she left the show after he gave her the ultimatum to leave Sydney or lose him forever. Upon returning home, David acted as if Shauvon had never left for Sydney and refused to hear about her experiences there. They went back to being engaged and living together, but couldn't ever "make it work" because they wanted different things. He was ready to get married and have a family and she wanted to continue to be single (or show off her breasts on national TV). She did want to make it clear that she DID NOT sleep with any guys on the show. (As if she could hide it anyway!) She only kissed and cuddled with the other two guys that slept in her bed with her.
Now on to Shauvon's mini-me, Trisha, who still hasn't seemed to realize that the whole bleached blonde on top, black hair underneath look in not attractive. Trisha wanted to clear up that she is not homophobic. On the show, she has a breakdown over deciding whether or not to go to the Gay Pride Parade in Sydney. She says that she couldn't go support something that the Bible tells her is wrong (Eventhough she is perfectly fine making out with boys that are not her boyfriend and drinking herself into a stupor). She also continued to defend her shoving of Parisa that got her sent home half way through the show. She said that Alex, the boy Trisha and Parisa both liked, was hers because of the well-known "girl's code" that you don't go after a guy that another girl is talking to. (Maybe only "girl's girls" know about the "girl's code", but even if Parisa had known about the code, does that really count if the girl has a boyfriend, like Trisha?) Trisha is willing to admit some guilt for pushing Parisa, but only "50%". I guess it's Parisa's fault that Trisha pushed her? Parisa and Trisha insist that they get along now and would go get coffee together after the taping. The best part of the revisit of the whole Parisa, Alex, Trisha love triangle is that we find out that the trophy, Alex, has BO! KellyAnne and Ashli swear that they could smell him in the next room and always knew where he was in the house because of his body odor mixed with too much cologne!
We never hear much about where Parisa is nowadays, as she spends most of the show defending or discussing what happened in Australia. This reunion lays the gravel over the The Real World 19, Sydney. From here we will have to wait until The Real World Hollywood premier in April/May 2008 to find out what happens when people stop being polite, and start getting 'Real'.
