The End of Tenderoni!

First up for this week, Nehemiah denies the existance of Tenderoni! Nehemia tells Beth to stop following him around the Challenge. He's pissed that on the last Challenge she tried to insinuate that the 2 hooked up by saying little comments and using a little witch laugh. Beth denies this, but a clip back The Duel says otherwise where she indeed says that "Nehemiah was drawn to her like a moth to a flame." Where did she think we drew Tenderoni from? And is she really trying to deny that just a few days ago she said in the confessional that she would share a bed with Nehemiah if the Rookies got first choice of the bed selection? Nehemiah makes himself very clear to the amusement of Johnny Bananas and others that there was never anything between him and Beth, they never hooked up, and he wants nothing to do with. He wouldn't even want her to wash his windows! Ouch! Not-So-Teneroni!

Later we see that Nehemiah has actually been spending some time and "getting to know" Rookie Angel.

Challenge time: The challenge is called "screw you." Human-sized screws are wound into platforms. The teams must split into teams of 2 to unscrew the screws by running in circles holding onto handles on the head of the screw. After unscrewing to the marker, the teams must complete a basic obstacle course, unscrew another screw, and complete more obstacles. Seems basic enough, except everyone is really dizzy after unscrewing.

The teams choose two different strategies, as the Vets choose boy-girl pairs and the Rookies choose same sex pairs putting the boys first to try to gain an advantage from the beginning. Overall, Brooke looks like a baby (anyone remember her crying after attempting to get a mani-pedi in Denver Real World?), and the gay guys on the Rookies team smoke tough Rookies Nehemiah and Derek on the challenge. In the end, the Veterans come up with another win.

As the Veteran deliberate, they are narrowing it down between Jillian and Rachel, but end up deciding to Jillian into the Gauntlet. The Vets then decided to save the obvious choice, Brooke so she can continue to suck at missions for their team. A clueless Brooke seems to think that her new lesbian love affair with Ev is what is protecting her from the Gauntlet. Uh, right...

The Gauntlet

The Rookies team now has to decide who to put into the Gauntlet against Jillian. Jillian's choice is Angel, and the team agrees, since they let Nehemiah choose his opponent last time. A more interesting dialogue follows however, as the Rookies accuse each other of throwing missions and forming alliances with the Veterans. Janelle accuses Tyler of an alliance with Coral, but Tyler says he's not that stupid. Derek denies throwing the "Screw You" challenge, and Frank stays quiet, eventhough in the confessional he admitted to attempting to alighn himself with powerful allies on the Vets team.

Later, Jillian and Angel compete in Ram it Home. The Gauntlet is a large contraption with a punching bag of sorts hanging in the middle. The contestants need to push the punching bag into their opponent's territory until it touches their goal. Even though Angel hopes to win because she has 10lbs on Jillian, Jillians endurance and strength shine through and she send Angel home, to the dismay of Nehemiah. Jillian is able to return to spend more time with Frank, and Tyler dubs the pair "the most boring couple in America."

DENIED!

While everyone else continues to hook up, Jillian & Frank, Paula & Derek, Ev & Brooke, Tyler is shot down by Ryan! Tyler admits that he's gone from 0-Crush in 30 seconds and tells Ryan "that he just wants to touch him." CREEPY! As Tyler confesses his feelings for Ryan even more, Ryan, knowing that Tyler has never been let down, casually says while smoking a cigarette, that "yeah, I just don't want to lead you on." He says it's one thing to make out when they're drunk, but he's very controlling in relationships and again, doesn't want to lead him on. He admits he knows it's a HUGE blow to Tyler's ego who's used to getting what he wants. Personally, I'm not impressed with this hookup, I mean were they supposed to just because they were the only two gay guys?

Challenge Time

Next up, "Roped In." Since it's a male Gautlent day, 1 male is picked to hang on a platform supported by 12 ropes. The 12 ropes are for the rest of the team to help the chosen male move on the platform to grab puzzle pieces and move them into matching slots. The chosen males are Adam on the Vets and Ryan on the Rookies.

The challenge proves to be pretty boring, and the Vets win again. Johnny Bananas, still bitter with Tyler for eliminating him in the infamous Watermelon Duel, convinced the Vets to send Tyler into the Gauntlet and save Tyrie. Johnny Bananas relished in the moment of being able to send in Tyler which Tyler calls "rude, callous, and hurtful." Paybacks a bitch...

Tyler doesn't let it go that easy, and starts downright begging the Vets to reconsider saying how he really needs the money for grad school (ever hear of self-respect and student loans?). Janelle tells him he looks like a fool and the Rookie start to deliberate. Tyler chooses not to participate in the deliberation and instead twirls a pink umbrella behind him and wait for his team to select his opponent. Just plain weird. The Rookies decide to put Frank into the Gauntlet.

Frank and Tyler compete in Force Field, the same Reverse Tug-of-War we saw Nehemiah and Alex compete in, but I don't think either Frank and Tyler will be giving up in this Gauntlet. Tyler, obviously overpowered by Frank's stamina, begins making outrageous, strained scream/grunts while his face turns bright red. No surprise, Frank sends Tyler home.
