PICTURE PUZZLE NO.1

To start with , we had to establish without a doubt where exactly we were. We know it is in INDIA but where. The tram in the picture holds a clue in the fact it is very old and the number is 207. So , according to that ,we have a very old tramway system that has been established for a long time. After looking on the Internet for trams of India , it looked like the only trams of this age came from Calcutta or Kolkarta as they pronounce it and had been around a very long time.The trams from kolkata resemble the trams in the photo , so we will take the city as being CALCUTTA at this stage.
There is a mosque in the background and the lower half is made of brick. It has 5 small spires on the front section that we can see so this will be very important when examining spires later on in the article. It also has a large spire towering over the top with a dome top all painted white.
Other things that are noticeable are a yellow and blue cab and after exhaustive search I found that these colours were in a lot of cities in India ,so it could not be included.
We also noticed that there is a bend in the road coming down from the mosque and this is also very important because it will establish exactly where this is.
The clothing store is no help because all the signage is faded an obscure. The restaurant ANMOL brought up nothing. The sign on the tram ,on the near side front could CALCUTTA something I am not sure. Also, the tram number could not be connected to the tramways ,but it might have been an old one . The trams that I did look at, the numbers were in the Three hundreds so this is the the reason I am going with this .
The next thing to do is to bring up photos of all the mosques in Calcutta and try to match up with the one in the photo.
There are nearly 450 mosques in KOLKATA and after examining the sites the one that fits our site is the largest in KOLKATA and is called the NAKHODA MOSQUE and is situated in Jucquaria street near junction and Chit pore road and Mahatma Gandhi rd in KOLKATA{CALCUTTA

You will notice that the mosque pictured has a half moon window on the corner and in our main photo it has the same. We now take a street map of Calcutta and enlarge the streets around the Nakhoda Mosque and we find the exact spot complete with bend in the road making the photo address the corner of RABINDRA SARANI ROAD and MAULANA SAUKAT ROAD CALCUTTA INDIA.

Nakhoda Mosque of Kolkata in the beginning was a small mosque. It was as late in 1926, when resident of Kutch, Abdar Rahim Osman built the present structure.
