Hi, I'm Richard Mack, former sheriff of Graham County, Arizona, and long-time crusader for freedom and individual rights. Right now, it is vital that we restore the Constitution as the supreme law of the land. The greatest threat we face today is not terrorists; it is our own federal government. If America is conquered or ruined it will be from within, not a foreign enemy.
The founders of our nation were afraid of one thing more than any other... government having too much power! Remember, they escaped from the tyranny of an oppressive and controlling government when they established this nation. They fought and died for it, and now we are letting these same freedoms they fought for slip away little by little, without a second thought.

My earliest memory of Richard Mack goes back to the mid 1990s. He was, at that time, the sheriff of Graham county in Arizona. Its county seat, Safford, is located 165 miles east of Phoenix.
I remember Mr. Mack as a no-nonsense sheriff with a reputation approaching that of Joe Arpaio, the current sheriff of Maricopa county, also in Arizona.
Mr. Mack is an American patriot of the first order. He has, I believe, exactly the kind of thinking we need from everyone here in the Great United States of America. I have heard for many, many years the USA will be taken down from within, as Mr. Mack stated, not by an outside enemy.
Karl Marx said pretty much the same thing when he stated capitalism will self-destruct from internal tensions and give way to communism. Marx also argued that along the way from capitalism to communism, a society passes through a transitional stage he calls socialism.
Not if Richard Mack has his way. He and Jay Printz, a Montana sheriff, petitioned the U. S. Supreme court in their challenge of the Brady bill. The June 27, 1997 decision gave them a states rights victory. Read 1 and Read 2
With his tenacity, he will charge ahead to the very end of whatever mission he undertakes, something we all should be proud of in our lives. The very end might be defeat but it is more honorable to pursue what one believes is right than to fail by not even trying.
Further, the former sheriff is counted as a prominent member of Oath Keepers, a group pledged to prevent dictatorship in United States.
I believe Mr. Mack speaks for the entire state in spite of the fact the Phoenix metropolitan area is becoming more and more democratic. The state otherwise has a significant republican population and is sufficiently conservative to fight anti-American movements.
After all, the Arizona legislature has voted to place the Arizona Health Freedom Act on the ballot next year to allow Arizona residents to opt out of any health care program forced upon them. Whether or not the Act survives the election and the likely court test is another matter. Read
Still, it seems to me there is good reason to believe Arizona will pull its own weight and support Mr. Mack in the effort to keep the Great United States of America a great capitalist country free of excessive government dictates.
