A Mail Organizer Equals Greater Happiness

Using a mail organizer can make you happier and more successful. Let me explain. One of the things in life that many people hate having to deal with is organizing their mail. I used to be one of those people. It seems like everytime I tried to get everything in proper order, a few shorts weeks later, it's back to being a mess again. You know what I'm talking about. You get your mail, toss the junk and keep the necessary. The problem is the necessary keeps building up. The next thing you know you have mail every where. You have bills that you overlooked. You have some mail that doesn't need to be dealt with for at least another week so you put it aside only to have it buried under the pile and become forgotten. I used to go crazy with this.

What I did was got two boxes, one for mail that had to be dealt with soon, the other box for mail that I think I should keep but it's nothing urgent. I don't know about you but sometimes I feel that it's better to just keep stuff just in case you need it. I have found that at least 90% of the stuff I keep I end never needing it. So my second home mail organizer box ended up filling up. So now I still had a ton of mail but only this time, it was neatly placed in a box. I was getting a bit frustrated with this situation. Have you ever been through this? Do you overlook things that needed to be mailed out but you didn't come across that piece of mail again until it was a week too late? It can be quite stressful.

So what did I do? I saw one of those mail organizers being advertised in a magazine and decided to try it out and it worked wonderfully. There's different ones that you can choose from but the one I got was the ones that had a slot for each day of the month so you would just put your bills in the slot where you would have to mail it out when that day came. It made things a whole lot easier.

Buying a Mail Organizer

Like I mentioned earlier, there are TONS of these to choose from. They come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Some of a ton of slots, some have different compartments to put different things. You can get a desk mail organizer as well as a wall organizer mail type design. You can get wood mail organizers, plastic, metal, you name it. So because there are so many different choices, the price will range greatly. You can get them for as little as $10 or as much as $80. This will depend on the look as well as how many compartment and features it has.

By using these organizers mail systems, you can actually reduce your stress level because you don't to constantly look at that large pile of junk on your desk. This will of course lead to greater happiness as well. Sure, that sounds a bit cheesy but seriously, but reducing the amount of clutter in your life, you really can increase the quality of it. Your efficiency will increase which will help you improve your output. My life has been a lot less stress free ever since I started using one of these. Now if I can only get a good email organizer, things would be good.

Just getting a mail organizer won't really change your mail situation all that much unfortunately. If you don't get into the habit of handling your mail in a certain way, then all you will have is an organized pile of mail. What you want to get in the habit of doing is handling your mail right when you get it. If you get a bill that you need to pay, write the check right away, put it in an envelope and set it in the "to mail" box. Throw the junk mail away. Any forms and documents that need to be kept for a while can be stored in a short term or long term compartment. For the most part, if you after 3-6 months you haven't touched those stored mail, unless if it's for taxes, just toss it.

With bills, if you can, pay it online. It makes it a lot easier as well as saving paper in the process. Getting a mail organizer can only change your life if you use it correctly. Once you get in the habit of just handling the mail as it comes, you will start to see that not only your unwanted mess will start to clear up, other unwanted things in your life will clear up to. I don't have any explanations for why that happens but that is what I have experience. Get a mail organizer and see for yourself. It's a strange phenomenon really. I would guess that it has to do something with clearing your mind. The less stuff you got to worry and stress about the better you act in your daily interactions which leads to better situations happening to you. Who knows.
