Imagine making over $1,500 in just one day with only a few hours of preparation. Is it possible? Yes, it is, and I will show you how. Valentines Day Daycare is in huge demand- why? Because for one day of the year, romance is publicly celebrated, and parents of all ethnicities, religions, and ages want to be sans children for this day alone. If you are energetic and have a couple friends to help you out, you can set up a Valentines Day Daycare. Here's how:

Step 1: Prepare

Before having any children in your house, make sure your home is safe for children to play in. Consider baby proofing your home, and make sure all chemicals and kitchen utensils are out of reach of children. Also, consider getting some CPR and first-aid training. Putting your training and certification on advertising flyers will get you drastically more business. Keep in mind that some states require licenses for in-home childcares, so make sure you follow all government regulations.

Plan on running two shifts of Valentines Day Daycare: one Daytime shift (8 am to 5 pm) and one nighttime shift (5:30 pm to 1 am). If you schedule two shifts, kids will be picked up and dropped off around the same time so things won't get too hectic. If you don't schedule shifts, parents will be dropping kids off during all ours of the day, causing a big mess. Some parents will sign their kids up for both shifts, and others will only sign their kids up for one.

Figure out how many kid's you'll take on for each shift- 5? 10? 20? Remember, the more kids you care fore, the more money you'll make, but also keep in mind that having too many kids could be a disaster for your house and your sanity.

Also, recruit a couple responsible friends to help you run your one-day daycare, and promise them some of the profit.

Step 2: Advertise:

Print up flyers, post ads on the Internet, and get a classified ad in the local paper for your one-day day care. Also, state your price on all ads. On holidays such as Valentines Day, you can get away with charging $8-$15 per hour per child, depending on how wealthy your neighborhood is.

Step 3: Decide on Entertainment.

How are you going to entertain a huge group of kids for a whole day? Rent lots of kid's movies, buy play-dough and craft supplies, and open up your backyard so kids can run around.

You could even feature a kid's magician or clown at your daycare, which would get you even more business.

I advise you to direct parents to send bagged lunches with their kids, and then you can serve little snacks and drinks throughout the day without worrying about full meals. When choosing snacks, keep in mind that many kids have violent food allergies.

Step 4: On Valentines Day

On Valentines Day, wake up early for any last preparations. Have your friends show up early too, and be ready to welcome the kids as they are dropped off.

During the daycare, be very alert to kid's getting hurt, angry, or homesick. Interact with the children and they will revere you.

When parents come to pick up their kids, be sure to collect all money due. Don't forget to thank the parents and wish them a Happy Valentines Day.

Step 5: Clean-Up

Thoroughly clean up your house after Valentines Day, then do accounting. How much did you make?

Some guidelines:

10 kids for the 1st shift at $10 an hour will earn you a whopping $900

10 kids for the 2nd shift at $12 an hour will earn you another amazing $900

Wow! That's almost $2,000! Before you revel in your earnings, make sure you:

-Deduct all cost of materials for the kids (such as food and drinks)

-Deduct the kid's entertainment (movie rentals, clown, play-dough, etc.)

-Deduct your Helper's Earnings: Pay your helpers between $6 and $8 dollars an hour

Even after taking care of your expenses, you will have earned yourself at least $1,500 in profits. Congratulations!

Step 6: Were you Successful? Start a Holiday Daycare Business!

Did you easily make hundreds of dollars on Valentines Day? Then consider creating a Holiday Daycare business- a place parents could drop their kids while going Christmas shopping and a Valentines Day Daycare-like setup for New Year's Eve.

Remember, you CAN make $1,500+ on Holiday Daycare. Just remember to stay organized, advertise, and see the money add up!
