Make Diner Style Sliders at Home!
63
I love sliders! I grew up down the street from a small 50’s themed diner that honestly had the best sliders I have ever had. Since I no longer live down the street from that fabulous diner, I wanted to learn how to make my own sliders at home. Here is my recipe for diner style sliders, and this recipe makes 8 sliders.
Ingredients Needed:
1lb Ground round
8 American cheese slices
1 white onion
24 Dill pickle slices (the thinner, the better)
Yellow mustard
Mayo (optional)
8 store bought hamburger buns (they are usually smaller then the name brand)
1 Tbsp Garlic salt
1 Tsp Salt and Pepper

Sprinkle the thawed ground round with the garlic salt and salt and pepper. You’re your hands and squish the ground round together until seasoning is evenly spread.
Separate the hamburger meat into 8 even sections.
Form the 8 sections into ¼ inch thick square patties.
Meanwhile, thinly slice 1 onion.
Place your burgers in the middle of your frying pan and place your sliced onion around the sides of the pan, cook until hamburgers are done and onion is tender.
Set aside dill pickle slices.
Place 1 cheese slice on each burger (overlap the cheese on top of each other to fit the whole slice on the burger)
Prepare your buns by spreading mayo on one side of the bun, and mustard on the other. Place 3 pickles on the top bun, and sautéed onions on top of the burger.
(I like using mayo on my sliders because it makes it more moist but you can use just mustard, or mustard and ketchup, whatever suits your tastes)
Compliment with fries and cole slaw!
