Make Friends, Contacts And Build A Business Empire

Making Contacts, Making Friends

Folk come online for so many different reasons: to seek information, to build a business or simply to make friends.

By combining all three, we can find what we need to pursue our goals, share this with others and stay in touch with like-minded folk.

For instance, I have been working online in various ways for a couple of years and realise that some people I met on the web very early on have continued to be good friends and who have helped me immensely along the way.

Only hours ago, one of my friends - with whom I have shared a number of successful ventures - was about to launch a very innovative strategy which is going to be so helpful in promoting individual business ventures.

When I say "innovative", it is really based on a time-honoured method but with a more professional yet incredibly simple approach to building what is often referred to offline as a customer base and online as an opt-in emailing list.

These days there are strict codes of conduct with regard to emailing folk without their permission. You should be seeking "opt-ins" - that is recipients first need to be asked if they wish to receive the information you would like to send them.

Personally, I am happy to go along with this. I have no wish to antagonise anyone, who may have no interest whatsoever in what I would like to offer them. If you take the view that many folk are just becoming too sensitive and all they have to do is simply delete the offending message from their email box, then that also could be a reasonable argument.

Because of the changing climate surrounding email messages, particularly those that are spat out en-masse by autoresponders, it seems that some "gurus" of the web believe they are hearing the death-knell of direct-message marketing.

If this is so, then the business-minded need to find alternative strategies to continue in business on the net. My friend has found such a way, by attracting potential clients to a highly-plausible website where everyone and anyone can offer up their basic details and contact emails in return for being able to join in and build a list of clients for themselves, using the identical system.

The potential for building opt-ins - or a client base if you like - is huge. I'm talking thousands, maybe tens of thousands. Better still, the strategy incorporates a very low-key way of accruing a starter income - even before you begin offering your products or services to a rapidly-growing list.

As one of the founder members, I would naturally recommend this web-based program, wouldn't I? When you take a look and see what it is all about and recognise the immense potential, you will not need any persuading, believe me!

Watch this space for full details, once this website is opened up to everyone. If you have ever tried to interest folk in your pet project or attract "traffic" to your website, then you will know how tricky this can be. This task has now been made considerably easier.

This amazing strategy is currently embargoed to around Sunday, May 4th, 15:00 hours EST and 20:00 hours GMT. You won't want to miss out on this - so come back then to read my update.

Look forward to the launch. I know that once a good targetted list is very powerful.

Thanks for the positive feedback. I hope to expand with greater detail on the subject of developing your own list of friends, contacts or business clients early on Sunday evening and be happy to point anyone interested in the direction I am following.

It sounds like a great idea, but I'm not so sure it's never been done. Social networking sites like DirectMatches offer something similar to what you are describing, if I understand you correctly.

I do not mean to discourage -- on the contrary, I'm encouraging you to pursue a great idea.

One thing to consider: Sites like DirectMatches suffer from the same problem that plagues the safelists and traffic-exchanges of old. Many people join these only hoping to promote themselves, and not really with an open mind to other people's products and services. Ultimately they become a merry-go-round of clicks-for-credit (in the case of the exchanges) or ingenuous welcome emails preceeding the sales pitch. I hope your concept has somehow taken this into consideration, and that you have some way to avoid this issue.

Best of luck!

Sorry you didn't see the link at the bottom of my second post, Eric - good luck

Ah, now I see.

The link was not on your second post - it was on a different hub entirely. Very confusing for this ancient brain.

Reading the headline and subheading told me all that I needed to know.

I think I'll pass.

im seeing more and more of these "Internet Social Marketing" things pop up all over the place, with there special "Launch Date" & "Limited Time" or "for the first 100 People" When is it gonna stop? I will say this though "Some of it works and works well and some of it is pure garbage". Good luck.

Yeh, I know what you are saying. Normally I would not be looking at these methods - you know, "get rich with a buck".

In this instance, the person who has put this site together is personally known to me and whilst he as founder will make money, I know his purpose is to also help his downline build their income in a much higher cost reputable travel agency business.

They can't get people to join in because the registration cost is far too high for most folks' pocket. The agency itself has a very lucrative payment plan just for being involved - as well as commissions earned from selling heavily-discounted wholesale travel packages.

So he devised this system (well it's a very basic concept) so that people could start with $10 total and earn enough to become a certified travel agent . . . one small step leads to a bigger one.

Hope this explains why we are talking about this list-builder. Of course your own opt-in email list can be used to further any business, marketing your own products and services.

Good luck!

You make it sound so easy!

I guess I am just enthusiastic about this list thing - easy it is not and I did not aim to give that impression! I'm just thinking that it is really worthwhile to build your very own list of contacts rather than throw money at lists which may be useless - I know I have done it!

Take a look at my latest article about another list-building site I have found and joined. The link is at footer. It actually pays you even as a free member whilst you build your list - pays three times when you upgrade as pro.
