There are many different recipes for making honey barbecue sauce and many of them are great, but this is one of my favorites. It's a little more complicated than simple barbecue sauce, but the payoff is in the complexity of its taste! You won't be disappointed if you go to the effort of making this. This recipe makes about 1.5 cups, enough to serve six people. For larger amounts, just scale up the numbers.

First I'll tell you the things you need.

1 Cup of honey
1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
1 cup of prepared salsa
1 half tablespoon of pepper(s)
1 tablespoon of minced garlic
3 drops or so of liquid smoke
1/2 cup of apple cide vinegar
1 teaspoon of prepared mustard

Equipment needed:

-Measuring poons listed above
-saucepans
-measuring cups
-wooden spoons
-cooking knives
-foil

Now let's move onto what to do!

First you mix the salsa, honey, mustard, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, pepper, and garlic in a sauce pan (a big one is not necessary).

Then you cook those ingredients at medium temperature for about 30 minutes, stirring all throughout (that prevents sticking).

After that you remove the pan from the heat and add in the liquid smoke.

Then you get the meat ready by grilling it on each side for 5 or so minutes.

Next you marinade the meat with the sauce, and wrap it in foil.

Lastly, you cook the meat at medium heat or lowheat until nicely cooked (you'll have to watch them and judge them, since it depends on your barbecue).

I hope you enjoy this barbecue recipe. To learn more about how to barbecue and how to make homemade bbq sauce, visit Barbecue How To.

A slightly different recipe for honey bbq sauce, but it gives you an idea of how simple it really is!
