When you are looking for a way to make money fast you must go where there are people so you have bigger customer base.  This only makes sense.  If you are sitting at home watching TV, not many people are going to give you money.  You have to get out where other people are so you have a chance of finding some way to trade their dollars for your skill or time.

In big cities with subways a time honored tradition of making money is to perform in the station or outside on the street in return for spare changed from people walking by.  Some people with a musical skill work this gig for years making a nice income.  To be successful you really do have be able to entertain people.  If you aren't a good singer, or can't play an instrument, or aren't a magician or comedian then you probably won't get much money fro people.  I have found that people are willing to help support others who are making a positive contribution to the surroundings with music or dance.

As in all businesses you have to give people what they want.  A song iwth a good beat and funny lyrics usually does well to draw a crowd.  A sad, mournful song usually tend to make people feel bad and although some people who like misery may enjoy this type of music the majority of the public will not.  Try to play music that gives people a smile and you will do better.

If you don't have any skills to trade for money you can always try to pan handle.  If you live in the suburbs or towns I am sure you have seen the people standing at the entrance with a sign asking for help.  Usually the sign says they will work for food or some such thing but everyone knows they really just want cash.  This can be a lucrative job if you have a compelling sign.  I have heard of people making upwards of $200 a day with this method.

The key is to play on emotions.  One of the most effective I saw was a guy with a puppy looking for mone for the dog.  I would think that dog owners would be very likely to help the puppy out.  I have also seen entire families with a hard luck story about car problems.  I am not sure how well this works but I would be inclined to help if they have kids.

An honest sign I saw once that may or may not have been rewarded read, "A hot meal and stiff drink would really taste good."  I'm not sure if this guy got many donations but he did get a lot of chuckles.

Make sure you check the legal regulations because this practice is outlawed in a lot of towns but if not it is a good way to get a few bucks.

This used to be a very good way to make extra cash but it has been over utilized recently in a lot of locations.  You may still be able to do ok with this if you find a place that has not been picked over.

Discarded cans can often times be traded in for the deposit or for the value of the material the can is made of, usually aluminum.  The idea is you go around picking up the discarded soda pop and beer cans and then turn them in for money at the local store or recycling center.  If you find a place that hasn't been picked over you can do OK in a short amount of time.

In my state each discarded soda pop and beer can is worth 5 cents.  That means you get a buck for every twenty cans.  If you hit it big you can easily make a few dollars an hour with this method.  You won't get rich doing this but you will make money fast if someone else hasn't picked over the area.

If you are willing to wait a while for a potentially lot bigger payout then you should look in to starting an internet marketing business.  The web is exploding with opportunities and you can get in early .  Eventually, like all business mediums, the internet will be taken over by the big corporations but for now there is still plenty of room for the little guys and the ones just starting out.  If you have not looked in to internet marketing you owe it to yourself to see what you can find out.
