Affiliate marketing is perhaps the fasted way to start making money on the internet. To become an affiliate marketer you don't even need a website to start making money. All you need is a bank account, an affiliate link and an account with Google's advertising network, Adwords.

What I'm about to teach you is the quickest way to make money with Adwords and online for that matter. If done right you could be making money with Adwords today.

Google Adwords is a program that allows you to create an advertisement and then pay to have them display it on their search engine or content network. Have you ever seen the "sponsored links" on the top and right side of the search engine when you search for something in Google? Those are the ads you are going to use. The beauty of this form of advertising is in the payment structure. You only pay when someone clicks on the ad. So you aren't paying to advertise to people who don't pay attention to your message.

Before you start advertising though you need to find a product to advertise. One of the best places to find products that you can make a healthy commission on is Clickbank. Clickbank is a network of owners and advertisers coming together to for partnerships. You can find products on just about anything there and, if you're a member, you can sign up for their link and start advertising their product.

When searching for a product to advertise you need to pay attention to a few numbers. The percentage you get per sale and the gravity. Percentage per sale is obvious. This tells you how much you'll get every time a visitor you send buys the product. This is key to determining the value of every customer and whether or not promoting this product and making money with Adwords will be feasible.

Gravity is a number that is pretty hard to define because so many factors go into determining it and Clickbank hasn't revealed what those factors are. Basically gravity is a products popularity. The more people promote it and have success with it the higher the gravity will be. There are TONS of products on Clickbank that have a gravity rating of 10 or lower and you need to stay away from those products for now. They have a low rating for a reason. We recommend choosing products with a gravity rating of at least 70. This will ensure that the product you promote has a good sales page and has a low enough return rate to stay popular.

Many people will build a whole website to promote the product they find and that's a great way to go about it but you don't need to do that to be successful. All you need to do is find a product that you think is going to sell well and then create an advertisement for it in Adwords. Clickbank will provide a a unique link that you can put in your advertisement that will track the number of visitors you send to the website. This means they'll be able to track when the visitors you send to them actually buy their product.

Next is navigating around Google Adwords. After you sign up for Adwords you'll need to create an advertisement, bid on a keyword and set a budget. Lets say you chose a product that teaches the customer how to fix your Xbox. The Xbox 360 Red Light Fix Pro has a gravity rating of 79 so it meets our over 70 parameter. It looks like they've got a pretty thorough sales page too. It's well designed, they have testimonials and most importantly they have compelling sales copy. Great. Now we need to write an advertisement that speaks to the needs of people who will buy this product. These people are having a problem with their Xbox and need it fixed.

In the title they ask a question that most people searching for the keywords will be able to answer yes to. Then in the next line they make a promise, “Fix Xbox 360 Red Lights Error Now!”. The next line briefly details their offer. You can follow that basic template to create a good advertisement for just about anything!

Next you need to choose some keywords. If this is your first time trying this out we recommend choosing only two or three keywords to be placed for so you can have some time to get used to how this all works without breaking your bank account. Next you'll need to make a bid and a daily budget for your campaign. For this campaign I decided to set my maximum CPC (cost per click) at $.50 and my daily budget at $3.00 just for cautions sake.
