The reason I decided to join Wealthy Affiliate University, a decision I hoped would be a life changing decision that would help me make money at home with Wealthy Affiliate University is because I feel that it will be a long time before our economy recovers to the point where my contracting business will be profitable again. I needed a new source of income and I already knew that building a new home business would take time and a lot of hard work. There are a lot of web sites that claim you can make thousands overnight and they may not be lying but, they also are not telling you that it could take a year or longer to get to that point. I made the mistake of buying into some of these claims and in an attempt to make them work started to buy other things like web hosting, website building program, and a few other things that ended up costing me almost a thousand dollars.

Then I found Wealthy Affiliate University, did some research and decided that if I was going to make money at home it would be with Wealthy Affiliate University. They are a membership site with monthly membership dues and since I had spent so much money on things that were not working for me I could not afford to pay a year up front (which saves you money verses paying monthly) so I opted for the monthly payments and began my education in internet marketing.
So, after four months with WA, am I learning how to make money at home with Wealthy Affiliate University? Answer, yes there is so much information available that it will take me a long time to learn it all because they also include very advanced techniques the good thing is you don’t need to learn it all be for you can start to make money and you don’t have use trial and error techniques they have already done that. If you’re wondering, have I started to make  money at home with Wealthy Affiliate University? Here again I hope that this answer will make you think long and hard before you start buying things that aren’t worth the money they are asking or before you join a site like WA. Yes, I have started to make money at home with Wealthy Affiliate University.  My four-month average would be about $100.00 a month.

The fact is that 75% off all new small business fail within the first year and of the 25% that make it past the first year only about 5% will make it more than five years. I had a business that I profited from for twenty-nine years before our failing economy drove it into the ground. So I know building a new business will take long hours and a lot of hard work but I did it once, I went to school, I learned a trade and built a business from the ground up now I am going to do it again.         
By no means do I want anyone to join just from reading this,  you absolutely need to do your own research and decide for yourself what is right for you. My goal in writing this is not trying to influence anyone to join but rather, try to make people aware that if you don’t diligently do your homework you could waste a lot of time and money as I did. I have come to the conclusion that if all these other sites gave you the whole truth and explained that in order to benefit from their step by step plan you would need to have an education in internet marketing first they would not be making the kind of money that they are.
